The MOST accurate visual acuity test on the iPad (or iPad mini).
A built-in auto-calibration function on the iPhone/iPod will adjust the size of the Snellen Chart (and brightness) to produce accurate and reproducible results.
The iPad chart is fully functional, but the best way to use the app is with the iPhone/iPod remote (this requires an in-app purchase for full functionality).
An auto-dim function is set to time the screen out at 2 minute to prevent the iPad battery from being depleted (this is now user adjustable).
Tested with all iPad versions (maximal chart distance 7.4m/24ft), and with the iPad mini (maximal chart distance 6m/20ft). Tested with all current iPods with a built-in camera and iPhones except the iPhone 3.
The app has been tested by Ophthalmologists, feedback is encouraged.

Would give 0 stars if possible
Doesn't work, crashes, freezes, rarely allows remote to connect. Because the remote function is so glitchy if you are trying to test yourself this means you end up seeing the lines setting it up / trying to fix it; before you get to reading distance. Waste of money, really unhappy with it.

Great app however needs a fixation disparity plate. Please add a fixation disparity plate
Useful but a little clunky
The app has great functionality and is useable, i would recommend it especially as it is free. I would however like to be able to make the chart portrait on my iPad mini and make scrolling up and down easier as I have no intention of using a remote with it.
Excellent app
This is a great app especially when used with the retina display model. Other charts are good but fell short in terms of mirror function, cross cyl target and UK snellen notation eg 6/9 I use the mini as a near vision assessment tool and doubles up as the remote.

Si es buena pero es muy frecuente que se cierre la aplicación, o baja el brillo de la pantalla, y nunca e podido sincronizarla, ocupa una actualización y corrección de los errores.
NO LA COMPREN
No se cincroniZa y cuando lo hace tienes que hacer más de 10 intentos si vas a realizar un examen tienes que tener mucha paciencia para que jaleneata cosa ni aún que pagues la aplicación
Imposible sincronizar iPhone con el ipad
No se puede sincronizar el iPhone con el iPad como Promete la aplicacion y se cierra la aplicacion si se logra la sincronizacion, terrible
Muy útil
Practica en la consulta externa. :D
