Buggy
This app is so buggy. Highlighting does not work reliably. A horizontal line can be made to appear across the top of the text, and fade in and out. These bugs have been here for a long time, and remain.

Excellent reading app with continuous scroll rather than swipe to turn page. Very good search and highlighting functions. The thing I like the best is the citations which open in a pop-up box when clicked. If clicked again they disappear and you return to the text - much more user-friendly than citations in Kindle. What's more if the citation is a bible ref the verse or passage pops-up and if you have want to go to the full text there is a further link to "open reference". After that a click and back arrow take you back from your preferred bible to the text you were reading. I've read NT Wright's big volumes including footnotes on my phone very easily with Vyrso. Volumes you have bought and downloaded on Logos automatically appear in Vyrso. The only issue I have is that every time it opens it says "resource download error" even when it seems to work fine. An excellent reading tool.
I use it for the non-biblical books and find that to be most helpful.
I am finding vyrso to be a great blessing as I can now carry around a bible and some "books" in one tiny device. I am reading Dave Kraft's Leader Who Last with my wife and we are finding it really helpful in thinking about our missionary work and purpose. When I have a spare moment I can read 3-4 pages and discuss with her. The iTouch convenience makes that possible. It is very readable. Because I am a new iTouch user, using the device, iTunes store and loading the books is a steep learning curve for me, intuitive but sometimes confusing. This partly because it it is swift to go places and then "er, how do I resume what I was doing before..?" but Vyrso is very powerful and a joy to have around. Guys like gadgets, all the better if they are biblical and encouraging rather than time wasting and morally questionable. Now I wish I had a 16 GB iTouch! God bless! Roger
Has help me heaps with my daily devotions
It's very difficult reviewing an app which will not allow signing in! (It doesn't recognize characters) Highlighting is a great feature as is the ability to add notes to a piece of text! Not good is the way it freezes when (accidentally) trying to access note files when off line - with no way of cancelling the only option is to wait until connecting is possible.
I love the books I am able to download from this site. As I am a church librarian I can preview lots of books before deciding which books to put on the shelf. However when I downloaded several books to preview while overseas none of the books appeared in my library at all, it was empty....why is that? Do I have to be connected online to read my downloaded books? If so, this is very frustrating as I need to be able to read while traveling overseas and moving around worldwide.
