Kids simply find a way to bypass

We have tried Bark, which worked but was technically challenging to use with an iPhone. We tried Family Keeper that adds nothing above what is already on the iPhone standard parent security. They will not refund my money even though the website implies that it monitors text messages and language. Bark did that, I wish that product was easier to use. Family Keeper is clearly a scam, do not purchase it.

This app is horrible. Gives us notifications of inappropriate content when our child’s not even using her phone. Even though I paid for a year subscription, can’t get the app fully removed from my child’s phone and the family keep her folks closed my incident without helping to remove the app. this thing is terrible. Start to finish.

Never could get the app to work. The only thing it does is update you on location of your child. There are plenty of free apps for that. I reached out to customer service. The just emailed back that they couldn’t find my account. I provided proof of purchase and I have heard nothing from the company in over a week. Don’t waste your money.

With their dns on the phone, the App Store (and other things) is blocked with no way to override. Family keeper does not tell the parent what was blocked (just assured me it was something I requested) and there’s no “allow” list for apps. Customer service was initially very responsive, until I asked about something that can’t be fixed, and then they ghosted. Stupidly, I paid for a year and this didn’t work for a week.

This is the most ridiculous app ever! After the free trial there is no way to cancel on your own. I realized the day I downloaded that it was not want I wanted for our son. I emailed several time throughout the week that I wanted to cancel and not be charged. This morning I woke up to a year subscription charge!! Absolutely ridiculous!

Got this app after talking to my daughter about the dangers out there. She liked knowing she has the added protection of mom keeping an eye on things so I can help her through them. I can track her GPS, restrict inappropriate apps, and get reports on concerning content she encounters so I can address it.

This application is not what it says it is. It does not give you the features it promises. I did the seven day trial. Once I signed up, it only gave me 3 days of trial. When I asked for cancellation, they didn’t get back to me for 5 days and even then they said I would not get a refund. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

We got out 10 year old daughter an iPhone for Christmas. I installed this app before giving her, her phone in hopes it would provide us with tracking and the tools needed to monitor her activity, it has fallen more than short. Location and usage updates are not in real time, I constantly receive messages that inappropriate content was blocked on her phone but it does not provide any specifics, I have yet to receive a notification that inappropriate words were identified in text messages as advertised, just that inappropriate content was blocked. The screen time usage is not accurate either. We allow her to have 4 hours of screen time a day, she has hit this based on the screen time tracker on iPhone but the app showed she had only used 30 minutes. For the price I do not fine this app useful or reliable.

I wrote to cancel 2 days into my free trial. I was charged the full year price and after many attempts have not received a refund. Such a joke. They make it so hard to cancel if the app is not for you. Hoping you’ll forget about the $60 charge. Avoid this app… there should be an option in the actual app to cancel your trial. Very disappointing. I’ll spread the word about this.
