Fatigue Meter App Reviews

This game serves no purpose for detecting fatigue. I have purposely performed this task after staying up all night with sick kids and pass the test, even when I know I’m at a level where I’m not thinking clearly and feel less coordinated. Also I pass when I’m well rested. I’ve also worked all day to the point I’m making mistakes and know it’s time to call it quits and I’ll take the fatigue test and pass. Some guys can’t pass on their best days, this app is a good measure at how proficient one is at tapping on an iPhone screen that’s it. But some investors sunk money into this “game” and convinced employers to write it into policy it will be done to prop up their ego’s.

I can’t believe that anyone can prove this is a real measurement of fatigue. The fact that it would be suggested as a daily recommended test of fatigue is a fatiguing prospect. I see no personal value, benefit or improvement that could possibly come from the use of this app. Total hogwash.

What a joke

This is clearly nothing more than a simple reaction game that failed miserably as a game and in a desperate attempt to keep it alive, the creators were able to fool people into believing it is a medical app designed to test your alertness. Embarrassingly, someone in my company fell for the gimmick and now requires anyone in a “safety critical position” to play this game daily. I am guessing whoever that person is does not actually have to take it otherwise they would know how meaningless or pointless this really is. Pro tip: play fast or upbeat music that you like in the background while taking the test. I’m not sure why this works, but I can tell you from many repeated experiments that if you listen to fast tempo music, your reaction times get faster, thus giving you a better score. If you listen to slow or relaxing music while taking the test, it’s almost like your body slows down and I have noticed my reaction times get slightly worse. To prove the idiocy of this app, I have actually attempted the test while driving down the road, just to see if I could do it and I passed. It’s just a silly game, nothing more.

This app describes itself as the “Gold Standard for measuring alertness” It’s the Gold Standard of fatiguing my brain and patience. Yet another fine example of boot licking corporate nonsense. You want to measure my alertness? You can measure how fast I slap the person that thought this was a good idea.
