This app has everything that I’ve been wishing for as a 30+ year ferry rider living on Whidbey Island. The features that are “buried” in multiple and obscure clicks on the WA State ferry site, are so accessible in this app. My favorites are the easy navigation of real time schedule now and future days, the dock videos and the real time map of where the ferries are. Wow! A must have app for ferry riders! Pleased to be a supporter! Mahalo 🌺

The ferry was cancelled due to mechanical issues and they didn’t even reflect it in the app even though it was an all day thing. Seems like a very simple thing to do

Every time I need to catch a ferry I check Ferry Friend first. The updates are timely, the map accurate, and the extra cameras are super helpful! Thanks making making this app!

This app is developed by a local Vashon islander and its indispensable if you frequently ride ferries anywhere in the Washington State Ferries system, as well as the passenger only boats that serve the Coleman Dock in Seattle.

I love the FerryFriend app so much that I’m writing my first app review! It’s so much better than the WSDOT app. One of the best features is the ability to add your ferry pass to the app PLUS it tracks how many uses are left! No more frantic searching through photos or texts for the picture of your ferry pass! The premium delay predictions are very helpful for the perpetually delayed San Juan’s.

I liked the app but features are being put behind a subscription paywall. I think ad revenue was a better choice with a paid “pro” option instead of a plea for money subscription model.

I have been riding the ferries since 1959 and this is an amazing and helpful app. We live with lots Of changes and cancellations so this app has helped us and we are very appreciative.

Favoriting a route is now a paid feature. I understand the need to monetize the app for development, but it would've made sense to introduce new features for the upsell, instead of removing basic functionality to force upgrades. The latest update gives a bad customer experience and undermines trust.

Ferry Friend is basically essential if you use the Puget Sound ferries. The app is easy to use, and provides multifaceted information in an easy-to-use manner. HOWEVER. As of the new update & redesign, they have removed the beloved ferry-loading animation!! I would love to have it (at least in the settings like it used to be).
