This app is missing one of the most important and basic functions of an app—account login. As a result, you cannot see tickets you’ve purchased in the app. As a result, as an app it has very reduced functionality. Seems this would be a relatively easy fix.
Freezes
Really frustrating that it keeps freezing when I stop and start or try to use airplay. And I keep having to delete and redownload it over and over again.
Disconnected
I received my card that went into an iPhone wallet that I never use and then an icon that took me to another separate website with all this information and I had no idea of how it was related to the info I submitted for the card or how to use it in relation to the membership. When I tried to register I got an error message saying my email address was already used and that I needed to change my password. I guess liking film doesn’t bring the required skills to write an organized and integrated app program. I am leaving it alone.
Need improvement
After enter login, if you tried to purchase tickets, app will as login in information one more time.
Please do something.
Problems
I bought 4 tickets to the festival — I think. I can’t ‘manage my account’ since I can’t find any way to do that, on either the website or the app. The FAQ on the site claims that there is such a link on the log in page. I couldn’t find it after half an hour’s search, neither on the site nor the app. I have received no confirming email. Am I going to the festival? Who knows?
Good app but needs to be better
The app functions well for the most part except for the fact that there’s no way to link one’s account in the app. For example, why can’t I sign into my member account and have that reflected in the app so I can purchase tickets etc.? You are taken to the FilmLinc website which I could have done on my own in the first place. This is also a problem when I use the app’s Favorites feature when marking screenings I want to attend. When choosing Favorites, it’s not marked across my other devices. The app has been updated several times and this frustrating omission hasn’t been addressed.
Please fix this.
Doesn't update schedule
Great app but data is old. Current schedules. It being displayed. Had to go to Web site instead.
Slick design and yet almost useless
Nice to look at and browse to discover electic, high end movies.
But use the website or regular search for movie times because the app isn't up to date. Example: Steven Yeun's Burning is entering it's second week but only movie times for week one are listed. Not being able to find showtimes for today would lead one to believe the run is over. That's not the case according to the website.
Most people won't persevere, Lincoln Center; they'll just go elsewhere showing the same movie.
Doesn’t allow seat choice
It’s kind of lame that the system automatically selects sears for you and doesn’t let you pick from available options. Either just be General Admission or let customers choose seats - I don’t want to be stuck in some front row crap when there are other seats further back still available. Someone else might prefer front row over seats off to the side. It makes no sense. You can choose your seats when seeing a concert at Lincoln Center, clearly they already have the technology to make it work. Total BS! I had to cancel my purchase because it kept auto-assigning me crappy seats!
Not able to buy tickets
This app will take you to info about the films but there is no actual “BUY” button. Or if there is- I can’t find it. I’ve wasted so much time on this app - AND the web site.
If you have to buy tickets from a computer it should say so in an obvious place. Or if the show is sold out already (day one of sale to the general public)- it would be nice if the app could inform us...
