After a slight blip with the latest film not showing, Fimo is now back on the prime spot. A wonderful array of vintage style films, simple interface and great colour rendition. Buying in to the full subscription is a high price, but now after 12 months, I feel it's well worth it, as the diversity and fidelity of the films make it a great resource
I paid for this and the video gallery is just blank - the more I search for ways to contact tech support the more discouraged I get. If someone from the company can help me fix this (I have paid for this and am not pleased that I can’t use it) I will amend this review but for now I say avoid.
I love this app, but the subscription fee is just too steep compared to other similar applications. While I'm happy to pay for a subscription, even if the price is higher than others, at this rate, I would prefer to use some other apps.
It seems to mimic film sticks pretty well, I was very close to paying for a premium membership or just to purchase a few off favourite films however when I saw that it was around £60 on a sale I thought that was outrageous.
Really love this app but the only thing that I think let’s it down is now you have to pay a quite steep subscription fee to access the different films, It needs to revert back to the old setup where you could just pay a small price for a certain film that you liked.
I love the app, but the sizing it offers is annoying, it always seems to zoom photos 30% in, like portrait photos are not their true size, it zooms right in with is a gutter. I have the pro version. Why zoom your customers photos in? It would be a 10/10 app if it didn’t. Give the full size! Cheers
I love shooting on film but sometimes I wouldn’t have my camera on me, or just plain wanted a different roll in the machine. This app not only makes the photos look like they were captured on film, but offers so many stocks that are so close to the original that it’s mind boggling. I got most of my friends to start using Fimo for their family/actually important photos. Love it!
I used to love this App and used it daily. A workable model and great film effects. Like many have said before… “A once great App ruined by Subscription Greed!” What is wrong with Developers? Nobody can afford Subscription these days. There’s a Cost of Living Crisis which is getting worse daily. It’s a sad reality I’m afraid that I have to now turn my back on this App. My enjoyment has now turned sour.
So the move to subscription is I guess understandable (while frustrating) and it’s the way of the world for developer income but I like many others had put a lot of money into the app previously and I had all the films. There has been no offer or discounts to move similar customers to the pro plan and my email to the developer was ignored. Will not be spending another penny on this and it’s such a shame.
