One of the best games of all-time. Yet, it hasn’t been updated for modern mobile phones. Please update the game so it can be enjoyed once again. I played this in 97 and it was the best game I had ever played. Having it in my pocket, on my phone without needing any other mobile devices/system is fantastic. Just not in its current state. Please, I can’t imagine that fixing the screen would be a major task. Mobile gaming is at an all-time high and with the use of controllers essentially turning phones into basically gaming systems, it just makes total sense. Thank you.
Great ios17
Just please remember to save frequently runs great as of 6/2024 on iPhone SE Gen 3 17.4.1
The only thing I hate about this!!!!!
The max stats button!! It literally makes grinding so much harder. Just sitting there and leveling up and working is so much harder when you can just push a button and be done. I hate it!
No Vision Pro compatibility
For unknown reasons, the app is not available for download on the Vision Pro.
This is a great port but FF7 is overrated
As a new player of FF7, it absolutely doesn’t hold up. It was innovative for its time but much like the great films of yesteryear, most of the great games of yesteryear are there for those who want to reminisce, revisit their childhood, or otherwise imagine a “better” time that never truly was. This FF7 port does that. The game is playable, it runs great, I didn’t encounter a single bug. So the port is fantastic, whichever team brought this to iPhone did an outstanding job. FF7 itself is just a dated game, filled with poor story and design choices that are cumbersome or don’t make sense, which plagued the limited tech of that era. It was innovative when it came out, but in the world of now leaves much to be desired. I will say the combat is fun, the unique take on turn based combat is confusing at first but engaging once you get the hang of it, the environment design can be challenging or downright confusing to navigate in a not fun way, but it is fun and very different from other games I’ve played.
Amazing game but the port is meh
incredible game, but it needs updates for modern phones, update the interface and screen size
Great
I just have two complaints. If you take too long to beat the end boss, the game will crash. It also wouldn’t let me breed one of the chocobos. That was disappointing, because that part takes a lot of time and effort.
Very good port!
I have this installed on my iPad, and it’s a very good port. There’s a feature where you can turn off encounters, if you’re feeling lazy. One thing is that the dialogue is rewritten, which isn’t really a problem, but there’s no “this guy are sick.” The graphics are improved and it resembles the Nintendo switch version. The controls are not the best considering this is on mobile, but overall, this is a great way to play Final Fantasy 7 portably.
Apple Version of this port is not good
I’m only up to Junon and been upset that I cannot do my soldier march the way it was intended. The screen is smaller on Apple than the one I bought on Google Play on my Samsung. Still think we should be able to change the colors on the side of the screen. Kind of worried about how the rest of the game will go with the issues I’ve experienced thus far. Bought this game twice on PS1, again on PS3 and PS4, on my Android phone and this is by far the worst port. Hasn’t been updated in 8 years even after Rebirth…c’mon bro
Needs speed up and limit break bonus features
Would love to be able to speed up gameplay and instant limit break as features to turn in and off.
