I fail to see the point of this app. I have an unlimited membership and I thought I would be able to access all the articles and videos that come with the membership. Nope. What I see is just the latest magazine. I already have the print version. On the phone, there is no good way to access the membership site other that typing in the website address in either Safari or Chrome. Not that this is difficult but hey, there is an app - link the two! Fine Woodworking is the premier woodworking magazine. Hands down. But this app is completely lacking.
Toured Normandy France during the D day celebrations this year and took a side trip to Paris where we walked around the Notredamn cathedral. There is a hugh amount of wood working going on there to rebuild the church after the fire. I’d like to forward some pictures I took there for your review to see if you’d have any interest in creating an article for the magazine. The work is not fine furniture woodworking but the scale of the work is very impressive and exacting. I need an email address to send the pictures if you are interested. Thanks. Ron Steis
I think this magazine is tops. The illustrations are beautifully rendered and the articles are superbly reasoned. This was the best review ever. Thank you.
Since last fall I have not been able to consistently read issues of either Fine Woodworking or Fine Homebuilding on my apps. Customer support is awful. They sent me temporary all caps passwords that did not work because they did not meet their own requirement of a mixture of upper and lower case letters, special characters, etc. I constantly get the “buy” magazine button instead of the “read” button. Once my subscriptions expire, I am NOT resubscribing.
All of sudden I can’t login. No matter what I do I can’t login. Yes I have a subscription.
I love the magazine. It is one of my favorites. I often read it on the iPad, too. However, of late I cannot access it. THis is a problem that needs correction. The app will not recognize my user I’d and password even though I changed it on the web site. This happens every so often without warning. Quite frustrating. Please fix it!
Had a problem with the latest issue not showing up as purchased even though my subscription is current. Tried to login again and the login screen only accepted the email address - there was no prompt for the password and the login failed. Clicking the Restore Purchases option did nothing. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Now there is no option at all to login with the digital subscription. Restore Purchases seems to only restore purchases made through the App Store. The digital subscription now has this horrendous calameo.com magazine reader web interface with no ability to download for offline viewing. I suggest that the publisher jettison the App and provide a secure digital download of the magazine that can be read offline using Apple Books. Other magazines do this quite successfully.
This app will not let you login into your subscription. The app needs a lot of work.
I have been a print subscriber for thirty year. Recently the iPad App will not let me login and see my purchases. Three emails to customer service have not been answered. A call did not to them did help the problem. I am very dissatisfied.
