The new mobile banking app from FirstOntario is a nice improvement on the old version. It is easy to use and very functional. Has everything you need to complete your banking transactions without any extra “stuff” that crowds out the screen and gets in the way. It’s a good app!
Bug Fix Needed
PLEASE FIX THE APP!!
-Since recent update: 17.8.6, the “Quick View”settings will not save and show account balances!!!! Not handy at all!!!
-The 2 factor authentication is really annoying, I need to do 10 steps just to login, not impressed.
-The overall look of the app could be better from a design perspective
So many issues
I have issue after issue after issue with the app. Really brings down my opinion of an otherwise great banking service.
E-transfer
Wish e-transfer could be instant because the 30 min wait for auto deposit recipients are to long
Credit union member
Probably the best decision I ever made was joining the credit union the people here First Ontario, are top notch
And they know their stuff I would not go anywhere else. Keep up the awesome work guys.
Absolutely Horrible
This app has to be the worst app I have ever used. As a long time First Ontario member there has to be something that can be done to improve the usability. First off, nothing works as it should, preferences are not saved, half the time the app is “experiencing difficulties” and the other half of the time you’re so frustrated that you give up mid transaction. Do not even get me started on the two step verification they’ve added.. this app alone has me and my entire family wanting to change financial institutions. Do something, anything, please!!
Keep trying to get my balances to show up. Still not working.
The app takes a while to load selected items.
Nuisance
It’s a nuisance to always put my passcode then security code !!!! My other bank has facial recognition….
What’s going on here
I just recently started using this app because they are ending telephone banking.
Within a week of using it , I had to update and now it looks weird and when I open the app a blue screen pops up with 1125x2436 on it.
Now I’m worried that it’s hacked….deleting this app for sure
Buggy, Annoying & Slow
Doesn’t remember my preferences even tho I click save. Two step verification is super annoying, every time the app updates I have to start all over again by re-adding my account. Clicking on the different icons (balances, e transfers, settings, etc) takes a long time to load. Please figure all this out, it doesn’t need to take another year or two for you to come out with a decent app. Its 2023. Other banks, credit unions and credit card companies have figured it out already. Why can’t you?
