自闭症谱系障碍，从而影响到数以百万计的儿童世界各地，可以使语言沟通是一个挑战。从本地利益集团的支持，Hotsource ESD开发出了移动设备软件，可以使患有自闭症的个体更有效地沟通。这个应用程序被称为Flashables50。
因为患有这种疾病往往在视觉处理信息，教育工作者和治疗师都采用了各种方法来通过使用图卡教学沟通技巧，自闭症学生。 Flashables 50利用一个系统叫做图片交换沟通系统（PECS），这是辅助和替代通信（AAC）的形式，使用图片代替文字，以帮助孩子沟通。 PECS是专为谁在讲话延误发展的自闭症儿童。当第一次学习使用PECS，孩子给定一组最喜欢的食物或玩具的图片。当孩子想其中一个项目，他给图片通信伙伴（父母，治疗师，保姆，甚至是另一个孩子）。通信伙伴再用双手孩子的食物或玩具。这种交流加强沟通。
