Excellent
I like to use some photos on my iPad for the Flashcards. For one deck of over 70 different photos, it continually uses the same photo have to go back and start over. It’s a problem. It matters little if you delete the photo in my library after using it for a card it still keeps regenerating the same photo it didn’t seem to work.
Have been using it for years for learning languages, spaced repetition in particular. I’ve tried other apps , and haven’t been content with them.
I haven’t even used this app yet but just for the sole reason that there’s only a one-time payment, I’m going to give it 5 stars. This subscription frenzy needs to end. Apps like this should never ever make you pay for a subscription. The only way these companies will stop charging us subscriptions is if we stop paying for them. Edit: well I used it for a few minutes and already found a problem and had to change my rating. I got this app specifically to make cards for computer coding. For example, I need a card that says <a> on one side and then has the definition for that symbol on the other side. However, when you put a word anything inside of those symbols, it won’t appear on the card. Please fix this.
I have used many flashcard apps in the past, and this one is the best. In terms of flexibility of structuring my flashcards, study functions (e.g. interval), ability to sync across devices, text-to-speech, ability to copy and move cards between decks, etc. The only negative thing I have to say is that I wish I was able to search all my decks at simultaneously; currently, if i want to find a specific card, I have to search through each of my many decks individually, and that can take a while. It would also be nice if there were more formatting options, like bolding, bullet points, etc. But other than these two points, I have nothing negative to say about this app. (Note: thanks to the developer's helpful response, i figured out how to search all my cards at once and it is very easy to do! LEVEL UP!)
Ernie is amazing and the app absolutely rocks. The feature set and amount of customization of (t)his app has placed it as my #1 flashcard app for over a decade. I LOVE this app. Thank you, Ernie (et al?). Flashcards are not for everything but there is definitely a place for them.
what is the format? two columns should be two card sides but it doesn 't work
At first glance this is a simple flashcard app. But the granularity at which you can tweak the setting is mind boggling. It’s definitely worth taking the time to learn what all FCD can do, but if you can’t be bothered, it still a fine flashcard app.
Way to complicated for flashcards. No where dose it tell you how to add flashcards to a deck. They want you to watch 15 minutes for a tutorial. I understand there is a learning curve to this app, however it takes too long how to figure out how to do the basics.
