Flex Touch

Published by: Motorola Solutions

Description

This requires Motorola Flex 6.3 with the 2020.2.2 or later release.
The Flex Touch® app is designed to provide public safety agencies a quick and convenient way to access common Motorola Flex features using a smartphone or tablet.
Personnel with the proper credentials can use Flex Touch to monitor their agency’s calls from anywhere and at any time from the convenience of a mobile device.
Flex Touch allows personnel to search their agency database for names, property, vehicles, and incidents from a mobile device. Personnel can also view Flex Involvements® related to any record. In addition, the module helps promote officer safety by displaying records with warrants or alert warnings.
The user-friendly design makes it easy for personnel to quickly learn how to navigate the app. Flex Touch allows personnel to access real-time call updates by viewing all active calls, call nature, and any assigned units. Each user can customize the list of calls and units within the jurisdiction. Calls are organized by unit status, providing a quick way to see whether officers have arrived on the scene and if a unit’s timer has expired. When a user has been assigned to a call, that information is displayed prominently.
In addition to accessing information, Touch allows first responders to more efficiently complete their work. Users can view call comments and enter their own comments from their mobile device. Using Touch, users can quickly add photos or documents from their mobile device to a record or to a report.
Flex Touch requires that the agency uses Motorola Flex and has already purchased the Flex Touch module.

I don’t know what to add for the server or port

Huge safety issue!

My agency is moving from GT computers to iPads. This necessitates the use of this app. In general, the app seems OK. However, if there is an address advisory on the scene to which you are responding, you can see that there is an advisory, but you cannot view the advisory.if there is a way to do so, it is not intuitive, and we haven’t found it. This constitutes a huge safety issue for responders.

App not working right

Great app but only thing that shows up for me is units and other. I don’t have the tab for calls of any others.

Good tool very those that don’t have MDC’s

This is a good tool for those that dont have access to a mobile computer. You can access almost everything through the app. Need to add call id numbers somewhere on the screen. Also add the ability to search call sheets not just incidents. Some agencies dont assign incident numbers to every call sheet.

Great App! Minor problems after latest update.

I use this app every day for work and love it and the convenience and functionality. However, with the last update, if I look up an old call, the comments are all ran together like in a paragraph instead of each comment being on a new line. It makes it hard to disseminate the information in that format. Hope this can be looked into soon!

Good App but…

I guess with the latest update, the text for the call history when using the night theme has turned black. Previously text was a different color that was much easier to distinguish between the words and the background. For night shift it is better to use the night theme but the app is not as helpful if you can’t see what the call comments were. Overall a good app, glitches sometimes, but not bad.

Would be nice to be able to see the call information on the screen in my F-150.

Contrast Issues in Dark Theme

You guys solved the unreadable font colors in dark theme a few versions ago. Sadly, the issue is back again with this recent version, leaving comments, case/call history, etc. illegible with darker fonts against the Dark Themed background.

Notifications

A_Andrus on

A friend of mine has an android while I have an Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max. I noticed my friends Flex Touch would audibly notify him when he was attached to a call but the iPhone audible notification does not work, not even the visual notification. I have checked my settings and the notification settings for Flex Touch are turned on but still no luck. This needs to be fixed for Apple products.

1.11.1 update issues

Please fix your last update. There is scrolling issues which lag or log you out of the application. Going from a persons jacket (history) and trying to return to the home page it will lockup or the application will shut down.
