Connecting to FLIR One does not work most of time
Thermal function is great and works well but unfortunately connectivity to the iPhone does not work most of the times. It is bad design and horrible software. Best way how to destroy FLIR credibility…
Simple but works well
I got a defective camera at first and I thought the app was broken, but after getting a new one it works great.
Great camera
I’m in HVAC and this camera has been extremely useful in diagnosis and helping explain issues to customers that leads to more sales.
Works without a subscription!
Used the camera to spot a leak early saving a lot of money on repairs!
privacy issue with taking photos FLIR Pro IOS
The app requires full photo library permission to take a picture. If you select “limited access to selected photos and ADD photos” it gives a message that says “no photo access adjust in settings”. It will only take a picture with full access. If I have to give the app permission to go through all of my photos and data in order to use it I’m returning the camera. No other app requires full permission to add photos.

Seems like the rating of this app is higher than it ought to be. I looked over all of the reviews and at least 1/3 of them are 1 star with the same complaint, and the same canned response. But it doesn’t sound like any change for the better occurred in 2+ years. That is concerning. Top quality companies stand by even their oldest products. (Mercedes is a good example) Anyhow the app itself does its job as far as being a thermal camera goes for the model of camera I have (FLIR one pro gen3 iOS), but it would be nice if there were some more features. (Time lapse, better integration with laptop software (that doesn’t cost $200 per year), a way to graph or at least export data would be nice). I think for the price that this camera is, more features could be included.
Requires full photo permission
It used to be able to add photos, just like any competent app. Now it requires FULL READ permissions to all your photos. A year later.
Can’t use my original FLIR ONE camera with update
I’ve been using my iPad mini with my original FLIR One camera that connected onto the iPhone 5, I got a female to male extension so that I could have the screen propped and the sensor further forward. I can’t update with my iPad mini and trying to use the older version of the app just keeps kicking off once the sensor starts. I’ve enjoyed this set up in my field for quite some time and it seems that nobody is happy with the outcome of this.. it’s been years and nothing has changed
