Unable to identify Dead nettle. I knew it was dead nettle but wanted to see if the app was legit. Lamium purpurea. “Botanists”, my butt.

I needed this for identifying flowers while hiking, I find out now I have to wait up to 24 hours and I also have to pay to see the answer, on top of already paying for the app. Scams to make money.. tisk tisk

I posted a photo of a plant, gave its location and a bit of background on what it was labeled as but how U believed it was mislabeled. The app ultimately told me it couldn't identify the plant; meanwhile within that 24-hour period I managed to identify it myself. Sorry, but not worth the download.

I hate that I can’t use this app without logging into my Google account. I don’t like doing that and there’s no way around it. They should’ve put that in the description because I would’ve never purchased it.

AI based may be as good now.

I refuse to use any app that requires authentication via Google or some other 3rd party. There seems to be no other way to use this app. I want my 99 cents back.

My husband and I are self taught plant lovers. We generally know our own local flora. But when we travel we observe magnificent new species. Sometimes we can sleuth and accomplish a confident identification. Sometimes we need help. We love having the expert assistance of the botanists who work with flower checker. With our additional research 100% of the identifications received have been correct. Worth every penny and every minute waiting!!
