As a longtime print subscriber, I looked forward to finally taking the next step and extending my access to the digital world. Great idea, poor process: despite correctly following the process to register online, all links invariably take me back to the magazine seller trying to sell a renewal. No link actually takes me to the content, despite the fact that I was identified as “signed in.” Very lame customer fulfillment.
Good articles great photography.
I have been a subscriber for a number of years, yet it seems that with about half of the new issues, I am unable to access the digital version. I have to email support and have them work their magic to get past the preview only pages. It shouldn’t be this hard!
Only disappointment I have is that I cannot find a way to download magazine to read when I am off line.
I purchased Fly Fisherman Magazine because they offered a special on 12 issues both print and digital version at a reduced price. I get the print version and enjoy that aspect of having access to the 3 issues I have received. The digital app is a different story. The first and second issues I have been able to read just fine. When the newest issue was released and the cover page shows up on the app it won’t let me read it. When it is selected it goes to a page where it ask me to purchase the issue, or buy a subscription. I have written e-mails to the Outdoor Group that owns the Fly Fisherman Magazine, but their response is try this, or that. All things that I have done. When my subscription runs out, I won’t renew.
App is amateurish at best. Just a trap to get you to purchase a subscription.
This app is trash. Pages don’t format well and issues that have been paid for don’t always allow access.
First off the publishers of fly fisherman magazine have zero ability to answer customer service questions nor do they care about your troubles with an electronic subscription. After all, you are doing exactly what is making them go out of business. I purchased a year subscription in May 2018. As of July 6th 2018 I still do not have access to the content I purchased. That includes the April/May or the June/July issue of the magazine. I have sent more then a dozen emails to fly fisherman about this issue. And as of today I have not received a response from them. Maybe Apple can help? 😂😂.
Love the magazine. However, he app keeps crashing randomly. Would be great to get it set up for larger screen iPhones as well.
