I would like to control my Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 on my iPad when it’s connected to it via USB.
I am stunned at just how unstable this app is. It takes roughly a full minute to make a connection to the Focusrite Control application running on your computer. Once it finally connects, it maintains a connection for anywhere from 15 seconds to two minutes, and then loses connection again. I’ve done all the troubleshooting steps, opening ports on my firewall, restarted routers & reconnected… nothing helps. It’s really a shame because remote control of external mixes was one of the selling points for the Focusrite hardware I just got. I don’t have any such problems with Avid’s Pro Tools control app, which maintains a rock solid connection at all times. So I know it’s possible…
P.S.: If you guys do update this app for the M1 Macs, please leave the App Icon as-is; aesthetic still is very pleasing lol
The app only acts as a remote for the control app running on your computer. I assumed this app would let me use my iOS device to turn on direct monitoring as my computer wasn’t connected at the moment. Apparently not, though. As such I’m not really sure what the point of this app is unless you have a absolutely huge studio that walking across it would really be worse than this app.
A bit of an interesting app has control but can’t seem to do everything. I also see there was a talkback added, is this only for some of the interfaces? Nice tool but not very useful unless maybe you allow someone to control their headphones on their own.
I can’t get into the app nor can I connect the scarlett solo to my iPad without it crashing I’m on an IPad 11 pro with a usb c to usb c cable. Could I have a bit of help please and thank you!
Not very Mac friendly and would not get past “Select Device” in the app setup. Now using Logic Remote as a substitute but would really prefer the Focusrite product.
This does *not* give you the means to adjust your current generation Scarlett's Direct Monitoring, Air, Pad, INST, or input routing options without connecting it to a Desktop PC/Mac and running the Focusrite control panel. Believe it or not, it's just an iOS based remote control for the *desktop* control panel. 🤦🏻♂️ Want to use your Scarlett on the road, in your hotel, etc.? Better bring your entire desktop rig with you, if you plan on making changes to *any* of the aforementioned controls. This wouldn't be an issue, if Focusrite hadn't REMOVED ALL OF THE PHYSICAL CONTROLS on their newest generation of Scarlett interfaces. But, yeah. I mean, you can't make this stuff up. 👎🏻
Please make an update? I've got it to work once, that's it. All of my software is up to date and on same WiFi network.
That such a great product line can have such horrible iOS apps and NO SUPPORT for the Scarlett line for iPads???? Fix this or sell you company to someone that actually supports music makers!!
