Food Monster - Vegan Recipes

No problem with the app itself but multiple ads for ‘Perfect Body’ telling me ‘What to eat to lose weight’ every 4 recipes is a no from me. I came for vegan recipes not enforced dieting.

The recipe and look of the app are great, but there just needs to be some fixes to the bugs on the app - for example if you click on a few recipes and then try to save that recipe as a bookmark, it will either crash the app and make is shut down and it won’t bookmark it OR you lose the arrow cursor to go back to the home page to look at other recipes which means you have to restart the app. Other then these, the app is cool, inspiring and very helpful when stuck on a foodie idea.

I found this app fantastic personally. I was able to navigate through recipes and bookmark favourites very easily. It was a great addition to our vegan cooking knowledge. THEN I logged out one day and have never been able to get back on. The Facebook link just says you already logged in with this account, and when i try to reset my password it says unable to connect. Where I am deeply disappointed is I have contacted customer support numerous times and they have NEVER got back to me. So I have paid for a years access to an app I cannot use. It’s disgraceful. They take your money, the app glitches out and they do nothing to help you. I highly recommend that no one purchasers this app. If it goes wrong you won’t get any support.

I paid for the annual subscription a month ago. The money has been taken from my account but my status has not been updated, I am still unable to access the premium features I have paid for. I queried this via the App a month ago and have had no correspondence with them.

I have had this app for a few years now. So feel I can honestly give a good opinion to the quality of the recipes and the app itself. I pay a yearly subscription which isn’t a lot like some apps. And honestly it’s been a real asset for me. I feel my way of looking at plant based foods has developed substantially because of this app. You can buy books on vegan food and they can all add up, yet the recipes I find in books bought just are not on the same par as this app. This app is full of so many various recipes. From breads, soups, meat replacements, how to make an omelette with no eggs, cheeses and cheese sauces, it goes on and on. Some ingredients I didn’t know existed until I found this app. I have one bug bear (it may of been changed as it just updated) but it would be nice to be able to leave feedback on recipes tried. So others can see if the recipes are easy and how good they rate. But otherwise I am absolutely in love with this app. It is my goto for finding new foods and just making good plant based dishes or even drinks. You can spend a bomb on lots of books or you can buy this app and find an ever increasing list of recipes. If you love plant based foods, and want to find how far you can go with ingredients, then this app is for you. I don’t mind paying that one books worth yearly subscription if it keeps such a well stocked app of recipes at my fingertips. Someone has to build this app and maintain it. I am grateful someone does just that Thanks Food Monster for making food exciting :)

You have to subscribe to get the method - do not download

I found some good recipes on the app and they are well presented and easy to follow (except that they are all in US measurements and the conversion to cups is a pain!) My issue was not with the content, but with the presentation. The app was slow to load and move around, plus it was clumsy and disorganised to find what you wanted.

You cannot unsubscribe. They will take your £1.49 for ever, regardless of how you try to unsubscribe. iTunes don’t respond to complaints. Thieves.

Brilliant I love it

I’ve tried repeatedly to subscribe to this and each time I go into the app it says to subscribe. So how many times have I been charged for premium service without actually having access to premium service?
