Pulls a lot of older reviews from other apps, but also out of date
I just downloaded and checked this out as a replacement for another app that recently shut down. I used it a lot while traveling to find interesting places to eat. I prefer to try local places when I travel, if I can find places that look good. I loaded this up and looked at nearby restaurants. I saw several reviews that I had written on other apps, which was kind of nice, because at least one of them is completely gone, and the other isn’t being updated. That’s also a downside, as more than a dozen restaurants that are listed near me are now closed, and a few have moved, many during COVID, but some were closed before that. So, how useful the app is while traveling will be heavily dependent on how much time the locals spend reporting that places are closed. It’s also a major fail that the app doesn’t allow reporting of gluten free and allergy options. At first glance, I like the look of the app, but if a lot of the information is out of date, and there’s no food allergy information, I may not have much use for it.
