Description

How do foods compare in vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates and other nutrients?
Choose a nutrient and Foodwatts Nutrients lists thousands of foods in order of the amount of the nutrient they contain.
For example, if you choose Vitamin D, Foodwatts Nutrients shows that per 100g, Fish oil, cod liver is at the top of the list with 10,000 IU of the vitamin, followed in second place by raw Mushrooms, brown, Italian or Crimini, exposed to ultraviolet light containing 1276 IU Vitamin D.
Of course, 100g of fish oil doesn't sound as appetising as 100g of mushrooms.
If you want to see how nutrients compare per tsp, tbsp, cup, or in other units of measure, just select from the Measures menu.
There are 150 nutrients to choose from:
Energy, protein, water, caffeine, theobromine, alcohol
Carbohydrate
Vitamins
Minerals
Amino Acids
Saturated Fatty Acids
Monounsaturated Fatty Acids
Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids
Sterols
Foodwatts Nutrients gives much more nutritional information. Once you have selected a food, just tap to explore its nutrition in detail.
The data comes from the U.S. Department of Agriculture National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference, representing over a centuary of research.
