Really Needs An Update

Lucean D'Lacroix on

So I got a new phone because the old one that I was using this one quit working. Unfortunately, the app refuses to work on my new iPhone. I have tried everything I can think of to get it to work and nothing has worked. I have an brand new iPhone 13 and everything is updated to the latest version. So, maybe the reason why it isn’t working on my new phone is because you need to update the app to the latest version of iOS. So please, fix this problem.

Needs work

Like others have mentioned, you have to try try and try again to actually get connected. Once you do it works okay. One you close the app you have to ho through the headache of trying to connect again. The UI is antiquated and could use some polish. I’d be happy to try to throw some spit and polish on it if it were open sourced.

Controls barely work

The app refuses to let me control the clash sensitivity and constantly dosconnects and reconnects

Frustrating

When the app connects to the saber, it’s fantastic. Responsive and fairly intuitive. I’ve been making new combos of effects with it and it’s almost effortless. The problem is getting the app to actually connect to the saber. Binding the saber and app together is incredibly unstable and inconsistent. I’ve spent the last 45 minutes trying to get the saber to reconnect to the app without success. Would love to see this addressed, but for now, it’s an unnecessary headache but it has to be dealt with to get the most out of my new saber

If it cant connect youre using the wrong saber. This is for snv4’s only. It works very well, its not perfect but you can work around anything with it.

Really needs some work for iOS

I bought 2 SN Pixel V4 sabers at the same time. Wish I had only bought 1 once I tried this app. It’s really the reason I decided to go with the SN Pixel V4. I have other sabers I’ve built with Bluetooth and is the CFX board. I guess I was thinking it would work similarly to that. But unfortunately this isn’t the case. Luckily I have a inexpensive android tablet that work a little better although still has issues but not as bad as the iOS version. Having the ability to control how your saber is set up from an app on your phone is a major selling point but it’s very disappointing when the app doesn’t function. There is major potential for this app if they can just get it working correctly. There is a force park V2 app but I haven’t been able to connect with that app either. I hope that these apps will become comparable and function in the future. Until that time I will not be purchasing any more SN Pixel V4 sabers. Looking at Xenopixel instead but will do my research before taking that step.

Needs major updating

As with others have said, it’s almost impossible to connect to the app. Your saber will always show up as 00:00:00:00:00. If you connect it while it says that, the only thing you will be able to do is adjust to volume. If you want to properly connect it you will have to constantly refresh the scan to get the actual numbers. DO NOT RAPID SPAM THE REFRESH. You will certainly refresh over the numbers and miss it. Also when you do connect, every time you close the app you will have to restart the process all over again.

Doesn’t work. Developer response?

drewdav on

Can we please get a response from the developer on this? The app used to work with all my SNv4 sabers. It no longer works with any of them. I heard an update was coming in October ‘23 to fix these issues. It’s now mid-late November, and nothing. Will this be fixed, or should we stop buying SNv4 sabers? Please respond.

It’s worked flawlessly for me

I haven’t had any issue with the app. It stays connected when I’m on and it’s responsive to my actions. Certain aspects can be a bit cumbersome and I wish there were some options not available at this time, but it’s way better than using a button to try and customize everything.
