​What’s the purpose of this course? In Ohio, if you are under age 18, you must satisfy the Graduated Driver Licensing Law before being able to obtain your Driver’s License. Ohio’s GDL Law has three parts: Temporary Permit (TIPIC), Probationary Driver’s License, and Full License/No Restrictions.

At the age of 15 years and six months, you can begin the Temporary Permit process. Once you have completed the knowledge test and vision screening, you have earned your Learner’s Permit.

​When do I need to take this course? Before being able to move on to Phase 2, the Probationary Driver’s License, certain requirements must be met. This includes completing a Driver Education Course at a licensed driver training school, which includes 24 hours of classroom OR online instruction, and 8 hours of driving time.

o Our approved Driver Education Course is at least 24 hours in duration (the State minimum);
o The course is divided into 10 Modules and one (1) Final Exam;
o You must achieve 75% or higher on all quizzes and tests;
o You have 6 months to complete the course (State regulation);
o You can complete up to 4 hours of online training per calendar day (State regulation);
o NO hidden fees! Once you pay the registration fee, you will have access to all required material, including the ability to have the course read to you through audio enhancement;
o Emailed Completion Certificate.

What’s next? Once our Certified Instructor issues your Completion Certificate, you will receive it via email. With this certificate, you can now contact any approved driving school in your area to complete the 8 hours of driving time.
