There’s just not a lot in here. You can go through the 30 points in as many minutes, and there’s no use of the app beyond that. Here’s some positive reframing: it’s somewhat fortuitous that I can apply these broad thoughts of forgiveness on the money I just wasted. I appreciated Dr Luskin’s book, _Forgive for Good_, and was hoping this app would give an interactive reinforcement of its valuable points. The app is simply lacking in substance and is a waste of money (not so much a waste of time, simply because it didn’t use up that much).
Don't waste your money
Don't waste your money. If you want to hear the extended recordings you are expected to fork up another 4.99 each. This app is truly worthless. No idea where the other reviewers got so much " help " from. There is little to no value within the app itself. It's a basic dialogue that you might have heard with your parents, pastor or therapist. Absolutely nothing new nor helpful.
Very Educational, Practical an Useful
Using this app has helped me manage my persistent negative feelings towards those that have hurt me in the past. The teachings and lessons from Dr. Fred Luskin have been invaluable and enabled me to take steps towards freeing myself from deep-rooted anger and resentment. I highly recommend this app to those who want to lead a healthier, happier life.
Helpful and user-friendly
I'm already a fan of Dr. Luskin's and this app is a clear and helpful presentation of his work. Very well-designed and easy to use. The recordings are a really nice addition, though if you want more the first two "longer talks "are really worth the extra price.
A guide to a healthier, happier life
I recently had the pleasure of attending one of Dr. Luskin’s workshops on forgiveness. He is a wise and compassionate teacher, and this app presents his method of forgiving in 30 mini-lessons, each accompanied by an audio clip featuring Dr. Luskin’s voice. I’d like to hear Dr. Luskin speak in person again, but until then, I’ll rely on this app for inspiration. I truly believe that following the step-by-step approach to forgiveness presented here will help one to live a healthier, happier life.
Very reflective
I don't want to go into my own problems but I will say that this app helped me. I was taught to not forget necessarily but to forgive.
Good pointers
I recently went through a tough breakup and it took me a long time to forgive my ex. Reflecting on it, this app helped me confirm that my process of forgiveness was natural. I really appreciated the vocabulary in which concepts were explained.
Pocket therapy!
I am not a big app user, but I am interested in accessible tools which empower people to improve the quality of their life and reduce their stress level in the moment. This app packs a lot of content in very bite-sized, digestible portions. It's great for people on-the-go who may not know when they'll find the time to sit down and read a full book on the topic. The dialogue format effectively and succinctly identifies the relevant question. The text and audio explanations provide helpful perspective to both understand the uncomfortable experience someone may be having, as well as encourage reframing of what might still be holding a lot of charge for people.
This is "The Real Deal"
This app really landed for me. It just made sense cognitively, emotionally and even at a deep physical level. I'm a psychotherapist and will definitely recommend this for my clients who struggle with anger, resentments, or are not ready to forgive themselves or others in their life. The examples are touching, and I clearly had a visceral response to some of them. I find it so refreshing to find this forgiveness app which encourages compassion and forgiveness at a pace that is respectful to each individual.
Clear and practical
The app walks you through the process of forgiving in a very practical way. I felt better while reading the modeling of how to forgive. I will go through this several more times and I am sure I will feel even better. Also, he app works well and design and graphics are great.
