This game is by far better than the rest. It’s not boring or the same game as everyone out there. Awesome game is all I have to say. I wouldn’t change a thing. Bravo!
The game is pretty long, which I like. There are lots of mini games, which range in difficulty. The “boss” fights are more arcade style, just to give a heads up. I had the game freeze during a hop, but when I re-opened the game, the hop was fine. Lots of nice touches, such as bats flapping their wings when you touch them. Graphics are good. The story is the same old stop the villain who wants to take over the world, but it’s well done in this game. Real rating of 4.5 bumped to 5 for the extra touches.
I loved the voices and the many different HOs, puzzles, and mini games. This is a wonderful, colorful and imaginative game and I recommend it. (I am a spoiled old lady and my .5 deficit is the lack of the aforementioned HOs, puzzles, etc. in the extra content.) Thank you for the adventure. Warm regards, OSfL
Mostly inside the puzzles and hidden object game sections there’re a ton of mechanics issues. If you press directly on what you’re trying to press on, it doesn’t work. You have to figure out how the grid is off and adjust for it. It kind of makes the game unenjoyable. I nearly had to skip some of the puzzles, which I normally try not to do, and did have to use hints. It makes me mad. I’d be pressing on the correct items thinking I was wrong, use a hint, see that I was right, then have to figure out where to press the screen to make it work. The games are pointless if you just use hints and have to skip all the time. It seems like a lot of the new games are made either too quickly or lazily and, considering they’re more expensive now, that’s really disappointing. I had another game recently from big fish that wouldn’t play any of the cut scenes at all between levels. I have a brand new iPad. It’s not an age issue. Maybe that’s the problem? They haven’t caught up with the most recent iOS? All that said, I don’t usually leave bad reviews. I understand that making games isn’t that easy. There’s a lot that goes into it. If you’re going to charge $6 for a game like this, it needs to function properly. Otherwise, charge less for it. Don’t get me wrong, I do like this game. Some of the puzzles are really interesting (while a lot are also much easier than usual) and the hidden object games are more detailed and involved than usual. I just wish they functioned properly. It might work perfectly on your device...I don’t know. Seems like some people had no trouble at all. If you have a brand new apple device, you might want to wait a while to get this. While you technically can play the game, it will work (when you eventually figure out that you need to press 4 inches away from the object you’re trying to press), it will also will make you want to throw your iPad out the window.
I really liked the game and graphics but the scenes took 10 to 20 seconds to load it was very annoying. I spent about as much time waiting for new scenes to load as actually playing, and I got a new generation iPad
Edit: Now that I’m most of the way through I’m dropping to 1 star. This might be the worst Big Fish game I’ve played. In addition to the terrible graphics, the gameplay is boring, nonsensical, and irritating. Required objects are hidden behind overly large icons, pixel hunting is common to get the “right spot”. There is a story but at this point I don’t really care about the characters. Voice acting is so obnoxiously bad that I had to turn it off. I cannot believe this is rated so high. I feel like I’ve been had and really regret paying for this amateur junk. I’m really disappointed at the graphics. I keep thinking I downloaded the wrong version but apparently there isn’t an “HD” version. But this iPhone version is priced as one of the HD games. It looks really blurry and hard to look at on an iPad.
I have to say this has to be one of my all time favorite games I have played yet. I normally dread the bonus games as they are a bit boring but this one was just as great as the main game. Beautiful graphics and great story.
I never write reviews for these games even if I like them..but this one is really well done and is extremely entertaining. The graphics are great, the HOP's are very unique and the artwork fantastic. I had trouble with one of the puzzles I’m embarrassed to say but because there were so many beautifully detailed items I wasn’t sure what I was supposed to pick! The voiceovers are really worth mentioning for the characters..such fun! While it is typical of the genre in many ways it has reenergized it for me who had left for live action group puzzle gaming. I would love to see more of these and will seek out games by the same developers/creators. Excellent work! Thanks for reeling me back in to this type of game but now many of the others I have enjoyed now seem quite pedestrian.
It’s a great game. The puzzles are difficult without being impossible. I’m on a iPhone plus and I have 20/20 vision and I still can’t read anything because I the writing is so small. I can’t decide if I want to purchase it
