There are countless ways to brew coffee. For coffee enthusiasts, sometimes these methods can get... complicated. And following a more complex recipe can be difficult, especially in the morning when you haven't had your coffee yet.

Part calculator, part timer, FourSix is designed to take a complicated method for pour over and make it simple and easy, even if you're still not completely awake. Named after the 4:6 method invented by Tetsu Kasuya, FourSix will create a custom pulse pour recipe based on 3 simple questions - Do you like your coffee sweeter or brighter? How do much do you want to extract your beans? And what size? Instantly, you'll see how each pulse-pour will break down, and how they affect your final cup. When you're ready to start, simply follow along with the Timer telling you exactly how much to pour and when. Not only will you get a great cup of coffee, but you'll be able to do it again the next morning.

To use FourSix, you'll need a Hario V60 and a scale that measures in grams. Additional helpful tools include a pouring kettle with a narrow spout and a thermometer to test water temperature.

Still awesome

I really love this app. I am going to try V2 and enjoy it even more.

A “no brain required” tool

As a longtime (30 yrs) pourover guy that has kept current on forums and YT, I didn’t think I needed an app to tell me the doses and time/volume of pours. BUT, how fun and easy it is! And of your plus don't drain ‘in time’ that is your cue to adjust grind size. I don’t use it everyday, but as a benchmark for new beans, still use it a couple times a month. Love it.

Love the app. It has been great for making my daily morning coffee. It makes making adjustments to brew size or flavour so easy and convenient. Definitely recommend.

Great way to keep your coffee consistent

I’ve been using the app for a few months now and this latest update was excellent. I like having the ability to log my coffee details. The cooldown notification is a nice touch. Keep it up!
