So bad

It’s a unique and beautiful graphic to look at, but that’s it. If your into psychedelics, maybe this would be fun to stare at and get lost in. It is very mesmerizing - even sober! But... that’s it. No instructions, setting, controls, zoom, nothing to do but watch these aesthetic little pixels move around and morph verrrrrry slowly. TBH, there’s really not much of an app here to begin with. It feels more like an aesthetic fractal GIF or maybe some sort of animated iPhone wallpaper, because there is exactly zero opportunities for the user to interact with the program in any way. Maybe one day I’ll want to relive my psychedelic high school days. If that happens, I’ll revisit this app.
Fractalia truly embodies every sense of its psychadelic name. With its mindbending visuals, the app truly evokes a sense of collected awe that leaves you rhythmically pondering the ever-changing motions. It captures a fleeting sense of beat; the effervescent nature of sound driving down a winding road of harmonic vibrations until you arrive at a musical terminus. The resulting sound poems not only lusciously caress the eyes, but also serve as a reel for how frequencies change through time. From Passion Pit to Janelle Monae, I adored being sent to a gallery of immersive sensual delight.
I’ve never seen anything like this, it’s an ever changing art piece that flows around your screen. Totally puts me in the present moment, definitely useful for grounding and meditation.
