Fraction Calculator PRO #1

Really, really useful app when patterndrafting and sewing if you work in imperial as I do. It’s also hugely helpful for patchwork as most Quilters use inches. I’ve had it on my phone for several years and I’ve never had any problems. Love it!

This is the paid version of the app, and is free of any advertisements. But why not just buy a general-purpose calculator? Simple - while some do fractions, they are not optimised for entry and presentation of fractions. This app is optimised for fractions, and does the job very well. There are 3 keypads. One for the whole number, one for the numerator, and one for the denominator. That means you can use this calculator occasionally without having to find instructions. Results are displayed as fractions and the equivalent decimal number. It supports the native resolutions of iPhones and iPads and looks professional. The icing on the cake is that it creates a page showing how to do the math by hand. You'll never forget what you learned at school! I'd like to see an option to not reduce the answers (e.g. an answer of 4/16 will always be reduced to 1/4), also operations like square root and cubed. Regardless, I strongly recommend this fraction calculator.

Can’t work without, I’m constantly having to do mathematical calculations and a mistake can be costly! This app saves me time and money.

Still the same as doing fractions by hand but much easier on the brain. Great app!

Didn’t work after update. Reinstated, now it works. Best fractions calculator I know of. 🙂 Beauty and functionality wrapped up in one. Great update, I can now do mixed equations of decimals and fractions and receive both decimal and fraction answers. Now I also receive mixed answers even when only doing unmixed equations. Beautiful Update. It’s good to know this update, will be the last time I’ll have to pay for it. Thank you 😊 "Would be nice if it followed OOO rules, also known as 'PEMDA’. It doesn’t require extra keys.” Maybe if there was a way to turn it off and on?

Very easy to use

To make this the ULTIMATE fraction calculator it needs to have user adjustable fractional resolution. By this mean user should have the option to have the calculator ROUND the result to the nearest fraction specified by the user: e.g., 1/16, 1/32, 1/64, 1/128… etc. Results like “258/10000000” are of no practical value. For me at least, this feature (one I would be willing tp PAY for) would make this calculator an indispensable daily use tool. Please consider it!!
