Still shows adverts and sponsored content despite paying, very unhappy

It used to be good and block all the noise on Facebook, now it is no better than using the FB app. You have to wade through tons of recommended follows, stories and all the other crud and it’s just not stopping any of it.

This app use to be great. Wether you used it to access your FB, Insta or X / Twitter, it used to happily open and rip video etc. Over time it’s steadily degraded and lee use. Now the app won’t even open your FB, Insta or X/ Twitter accounts. Disappointing

Only show 6 Facebook posts then a rotating star that goes on forever! (Used to work great and preferable to Facebook App) Shame!

Reasons I use this app are the ability to get rid of adverts and to sort the feed into the correct ( ie •chronological• ) order on facebooks .. but both of these options have disappeared .. can you put them back please ? No point in this app otherwise - it’s just the same as looking at it ‘in-browser’

Not great for an IPhone to use Facebook I’ve found. Lots of repeat items & freezing. I’ll probably just take it off my phone as it’s very frustrating

Don’t bother with this app. It used to be great, no adverts and completely personal to me. No more though - this new version is worse than the official Facebook app in terms of uninvited intrusion and repeated ads which I blocked before. The whole app is broken. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH IT!

Update 16/04/2024 A further app update has been made and the feed now loads. However, one of the two reasons for me using Friendly, (i.e. it’s ability to filter out ads and sort in chronological order), still does not work. Ads now seem to have gone but I’m still seeing everything in the stupid default order that Facebook thinks I should see everything in. I’m still having to use the feeds option in the official Facebook app, which is painful with all the ads that are constantly thrown at you. This was once a great app, but is now still broken. Update 06/02/2024 The latest update has broken the Facebook feed. At most around half a dozen posts will load and then nothing, other than a spinning circle implying that more are trying to be loaded. Nothing does though. I’m having to use the Facebook app, it’s that bad. As with most apps there are a few bugs, but generally speaking this is great. I use it with Facebook. However today’s update has made opening everything painfully slow. I wait for my main feed to open, then I have to wait again if I decide to open anything, and if I decide to open a link to a webpage then I might as well put the kettle on and come back later. Okay, it’s not quite that bad but you get the picture. Come on developers, update are supposed to bring about improvements, not break it.
