FRMS is a versatile hybrid synthesizer that combines Granular, FM, Subtractive and Additive synthesis using a flexible layering system.

FRMS takes the interesting and exciting world of granular synthesis and gives it a musical edge by mixing it with FM synthesis to produce a wide variety of possible timbres, with a sleek and modern interface. From heavily-dense ambient drones, to glitchy mechanical beings, turn simple sounds into complex evolving soundscapes, with up to four layers of synthesis in any combination.

Attention:

FRMS is available as a stand-alone app and AUv3 plugin only. No IAA audio support available.

FRMS is a CPU intensive app, therefore some devices with lower hardware specifications might not be able to play 4 simultaneous voices, resulting in possible audio glitches. The density of grains is the most significant aspect regarding performance. A 2nd gen iPad Pro is able to play all of the bundled presets with 4 voices.

Great granular Synth

Very Usable synth with fantastic, affordable patches and good auv3 integration (I use it with AUM). Love it!

Vielseitig

Seit einiger Zeit nutze ich FRMS auf iPad und PC. Die Möglichkeiten scheinen unendlich zu sein - ob nun aufbauend auf den vorliegenden Erweiterungen oder eigenen Samples. Ich möchte auf FRMS keines falls mehr verzichten - auch wenn es auf dem PC etwas ressourcenhungrig ist und die Standalone-Version nicht arbeitet …

Fantastischer MPE Synth!

Super aufgebauter Granu-Fm Synth, macht echt Spaß! Ich mag dass er MPE kann und es gib tolle Athmosphörische Soundpacks! Man bekommt auch schnell etwas musikalisches damit hin, besser als reine Granularsynths, finde ich!

Mit den 4 Slots zur Klangerzeugung und unendlichen Tweakmöglichkeiten z.Z. für mich der Beste im iPad-Segment. Vielen Dank

Wow! Dieser Synth ist mal wirklich „Unique“!

Es gibt inzwischen einige tolle FM - und Granular-Synths. Frequenzmoidulierte Granular Synthese mit einem sehr gelungenem UI ist aber mal wirklich innovativ und einzigartig. Wer auf der Suche nach außergewöhnlichen Möglichkeiten zu Gestaltung neuartiger Klanglandschaften ist, welche aber dennoch sehr musikalisch einsetzbar sind, wird hier fündig. Dennoch stören mich 2 Dinge: 1. Kleinste Parameter Änderungen können große Auswirkungen haben, was ja auch toll ist. Deshalb bitte numerischen Input ermöglichen! Dazu noch einen „Fine-Button“ für feinfühlige Parameter Änderungen. Ich bediene ihn hauptsächlich mit dem Apple Pencil und es ist schwierig einen exakten Parameter Wert einzustellen. 2. Die 4 Layer (vielleicht auch die LFOs) sollten farblich stärker voneinander abgegrenzt sein. Es passiert mir immer wieder, daß ich Werte im falschen Layer (manchmal auch LFO) ändere. 3. Eine komfortable Undo Funktion mit History wäre sehr hilfreich. 4. Ein Compressor/Saturator vor dem Reverb wäre eine tolle Bereicherung. Dennoch volle 5 Sterne.

Nette Idee,aber....

Der Hinweis,dass es mit leistungsschwächeren alten iPads zu Problemen mitder Prozessorleistung kommen kann.Ichhabe ein iPad Air 2 und es kracht und scheppert,auch nachdem ich die Einstellung „ Hohe Qualität“ abgecshaltet habe,war es noch unerträglich.Mit anderen Worten: Für mich völligunbrauchbar und oreine Geldverschwendung.Wäre vielleicht hilfreich,anzugeben,welcheModelle sich für diese App eignen. Auch auf 2. Stimmen reduziert. - das Problem bleibt unverändert bestehen. Nachtrag vom 15. April: Nach dem letzten Update funktioniert die App nun endlich ohne Störungen und deshalb jetzt volle Punktzahl für eine sehr interessante Synth-App.Danke,dass Ihr die Fehler beseitigt habt!
