EDIT 1/28/2025, I am now reluctantly changing to 5 stars because after replacing my 8 channel FUNLUX NVR with a refurbished 8 Channel Zmodo NVR and because email support (I believe his name is Brandon, might be wrong) has been very helpful to me, My 2 NVRs through this Funlux App have been great for months without any problems. I have a more complex IOT Vlan System than the average user. I understand they don’t plan to make any more NVRs. This makes me very sad because their cloud service IMO, is only for Billionaires, maybe Millionaires, and I am unfortunately low middle class. Always have been an unhappy NVR owner. Funlux app is no different than Zmodo app but I prefer Funlux app because it has dark mode and the Zmodo app doesn’t or didn’t the last time I compared. Either way this company is geared to sell way too expensive cloud service. As an NVR Owner I’ve had nothing but problems. Currently several devices are offline according to the app but they are online and working according to the monitor connected to NVR. IF I WRITE AN HONEST REVIEW LIKE THIS THE PROBLEMS START GETTING WORSE AS IF SOME ROGUE TECH IS TEACHING ME A LESSON. Look elsewhere folks. This is not a reliable solution for a sovereign home network survelience solution. Nobody likes having to get a ladder to climb 15’ to scan QR Codes that some rogue Zmodo / Funlux tech keeps disconnecting to teach you a lesson for writing an honest product review.

When my phone language is set to a different one other than English, the app messed up and would not let me login or sign up with new account
This app was great years ago. Within the last few years, the notifications for detecting motion have been declining. There have been instances of it not even recording when someone is literally right in front of the camera, it didn’t give us notifications of deer outside - which is bad bc deer are big enough, and sometimes it won’t even notify us of things as big as cars out front! But it will give us notifications of little bugs flying around and the light change at dusk and dawn…bc that’s what we all want right? It’s not our cameras…we have more than 5 that all work fine, and I’ve tested whether it’s the camera or app and it’s definitely the app. This is absolutely unacceptable as this is basically security that people and families rely upon for safety and comfort. Unless something changes immediately, I’ll be looking elsewhere for something more reliable.
App works well cameras are good have had this app for going on 7 years. Suddenly one day a couple months ago the audio from the app will not play through my Bluetooth. Hope this gets fixed soon.
The app stopped working. The cameras were good and it was a good purchase for many years. I was going to purchase a system for my parents but the devices are no longer supported.
I had no problems before the latest update. Now, the app just freezes, has inaudible audio, or just crashes altogether and kicks me out of the app. I’ll change my star rating if this is fixed but as-is… it’s nearly worthless.
Worked great YEARS AGO, but movement detection started missing movement even after setting everything to Highest Sensitivity. Now I get sporadic Alerts at best (referring to this App, not the physicsl hardware/OS, that part works fine). Now, as of Aug 10, 2022 I can’t access camera via this App anymore - temporary Server issue or incompatibility? The Insight App still works, but prefer this if it would just do what it used to do!
