Description

The app offers a patch planner adapted to the needs of permaculture gardening. In a first step the user chooses the design of his individual patch from three different shapes. GAIA offers a selection of 80 different plants you can plant on your patch. The app includes companion planting: Choose the plant you want to plant and the app will offer you a possible position avoiding negative influences between the crops and preferring positions with positive influence like stimulation of plant growth or improved pest resistance. The user finds a profile for every vegetable crop included in the app giving the user information about the plant and its benefits. In the course of your gardening activities using the app you can achieve badges. Happy gardening!

Gaia Reviews

Very glitchy

You can only add to your cart not subtract. Difficult to move plants once in place. Should suggest companions to plant by what you have selected.

Great concept but very glitchy

Love the concept and where this is going, just needs better programming and bug fixes I think.

Meh

I can’t even set up my garden beds to try and use this app. The measurements are in meters and the app will not allow for decimals or fractions. Any bed under 1 meter is not allowed because the app doesn’t recognize 0.5 or 0.6 meters as a part of a meter instead it gives an error message that you can not enter a bed size greater than 4 meters.

No. Just no. 👎

Gardens cannot be larger than 13 feet

We have a large garden 40ft by 30 ft. I can’t use this app to plan it out unless I break the garden down into sections

Great for novices & green thumbs

I started using this app to plan out my garden. At first, I just wanted an app to help me remember what I planted where. Then I found this app which goes beyond simple mapping. Wow I went ahead and mentioned the app to my mom who is an expert garden and sometimes struggles with technology.. Much value …!

Practical and Useful

Fantastic! Very helpful to see which plants can be planted next to each other. One of the best garden apps available and at no cost ! Really saved me a lot of time !
