Galaxiga Reviews

Fun game but… $200?!?!

Nahalem on

United States

This is a fun game. Basic scroller shooter with some decent meta progression… However it gets 1 star (honestly negative 5 if I could) because their marketing dept must be out of their mind. Want to get rid of ads and have unlimited energy (aka keep playing the game)? It’s $200 per year. No, that’s not a typo…two. hundred. friggin. dollars. per. year. This game is worth $3-4 to play without ads. Not play-to-win. If you want to cheat, pay whatever for it. However that price tag is a LITERAL insult. The gameplay, while funish, is repetitive with a copy/paste set of enemies that just move differently on every level. There’s no major upgrades in-level beyond duping your laser (Wow, you copy/pasted the bullet animation…groundbreaking), and getting a more powerful ship requires grinding or paying out the yahoo (BTW that $200 won’t really even get you anything). This is another of the WORST examples of freemium gaming. Just charge $3-4 and let us play the base game without the infuriating ads and timer nonsense. Upsell on people who want the cheat codes. Shame, shame, shame on you.

I have to say, you guys really did a good job with this one. It takes me back in time when I used to play this kind of games. Really loved it.

Chat feature NEEDS monitoring

A42675GhI637 on

United States

This game is really fun but not at ALL safe for kids. There is a chat feature on the homepage that is completely unmonitored and full of sexual commentary, homophobia, etc. And no apparent way to turn the feature off or block/report the extremely unsafe comments and people on there. Do not let your kids play it without being monitored.

Forces purchases for progress then crashes. No longer opens

gthomps16 on

Title says it all. I’ve been playing for a few weeks and I have to make real money purchases (upgrades) to be able to make progress. It’s crashed immediately after purchases are made, charging my account but not crediting the purchase. I have let it go because it was only $2-3 a couple times, but after making bigger purchases now the game won’t even load. No apparent way to get my money back or contact customer service.

Money making scam, can’t get through one hand without 8 million asks for money…

Just put a credit card in and they’ll do the rest. Good game if you keep spending money, too bad.

Disappointed

Reviewboy517272 on

The enemy ships never fire back except in wave 7, and its quite the boring experience as im simply shooting ships in a war where im the only ship firing. Yes, in this version the guns on your ship are pretty dope, but in the end it feels too repetitive because you’re essentially the only ship firing shots. Maybe i didnt play far enough into the game but even hard mode was very passive
