Good potential, but I had too high expectations
I came into this app thinking it would be a great addition to Star Citizen. I thought it would work as a copy of the MFD’s on the ship. TLDR it’s not.
The biggest drawback is that the app only does one-way communication from your tablet to your game, not the other way around. This means you wouldn’t get any information, like about any enemy ship you have targeted or the status of your quantum drive. The app simply serves as touch-buttons. (Or you get/make a “shard” which is a layout of buttons, but know what I mean)
The app does show some information, depending on the buttons you have pressed on the app (landing gear, power triangle, mining mode). But if you change anything using your keyboard or on another iPad, that information is no longer in sync. This is similar to when you adjust your AC with the LCD remote, and the temperature is shown on the remote, but if you adjust on the AC itself, the information on the remote is now out of sync.
In the future I would like to see two-way communication on the app. Then it will REALLY shine!
