Like many others I’d hoped to connect the camera to my home WiFi, which it can’t do. This wouldn’t be an issue if the motion detection was more reliable or if the BT/WiFi connection dance didn’t take so long an animal would have moved on by the time you get your phone connected. These are minor annoyances but the dealbreaker is that the app demands full access to your photos in order to even save photos. This isn’t a technical restriction, iOS has granular permissions for a reason, the app devs have simply chosen not to allow this function unless you’ve also given them full access to see all your photos which I will not do.

Activated camera and set it up on my lease but to no avail I can not connect to live view or even receive pictures or videos. I have to be on site to get it to stay connected to the network by keeping it awake. It shows connected it won’t update cellular transfer.

Simple, easy and works great

The cell cams work great. I did not have any issues setting up the service plan and have had a lot of fun using this camera. The service connects to different towers so I have had a great signal. I originally purchased 4 of the WiFi cams which were also great, I was able to check the pics from my stand which was in range of the cameras without having to mess with sd cards or card readers. The cell cam is on a whole different level of simple usage and requires no maintenance if you get it with the solar panel. No human scent, no messing with the cam, just set it up and go. Love gardpro and I will be purchasing a couple more cams for this season.

Device works ok but it is frustrating trying to connect with it. Even when in line if sight and within a few feet it can require multiple retries.

Great camera but lack luster app performance

The Wi-Fi connections is general stable and it’s great to sit down near the cam and pull the footage. The issues arise though when you try to mass delete or download images. The select all feature does seem to select all images but the app never deletes all the images it shows it has selected. It takes several attempts to do what should be a 2 button press operation. Same for grabbing all the images, though this is more reliable and seems to work most times. Setting the camera options and viewing the camera status with the app is solid. Only real complaint - and it’s substantial for the time wasted - is the apps inability to properly delete all the images selected.

Won’t load the photos

Complete disappointment! Takes over a minute to connect, as other reviewers have noted. Once connected, the Status screen tells me the number of photos taken by the camera, which increases every day. But no matter how many times I connect and pull down the screen to refresh, no more than the first 30 photos (taken in the first two days after set-up) have loaded to the app! The other 133 photos it says I have currently — I can’t even access. Exasperating!

Please make app available to apple Mac App Store!
