GBH News

I am a long time, NPR listener and listen to both WGBH and WBUR here in Boston. WBUR’s app is great because it has buffering and can handle slight glitches in connectivity. I cannot say the same for the WGBH app. It constantly reconnects and you have to listen to this stupid little commercial before it restarts the stream so you miss part of a news story. Very frustrating. Come on guys you can do better than this!

Why, why why can’t I pause, back up or go forward???? If WBUR can do it, you should be able to!

Tried to donate through this app but it wouldn’t allow a sign in, so I couldn’t renew my membership. Had to call GBH to pay up.

So useless

The worst app ever in the history of iPhones.

Anyone fixing this?

I’m a GBH sustainer and there was a time when this app worked perfectly, but for several months now, I haven’t been able to get the live streaming to work, even with a brand new iPhone 13. The only reliable way I can now hear GBH is through radio.garden on my browser. Very disappointing. WBUR’s app works perfectly and GBH needs to catch up.

Sadly, the app is one, long choking glitch. Wish it were fixed!!

The app, or any app that provides GBH streaming including the NPR app will not work on cellular. I’ve tried to contact GBH for support but have not been replied to. A brief search on the web will show dozens of similar complaints. Unacceptable.

Also great to have the jazz 24/7 stream, love it, but why not include the gbh jazz decades stream? I am forced to use tunein still for these 2 streams in the car.
