Description

This application mainly aims at promoting e-government services in Lebanon. Specifically, one of its attractive features labeled as "track your application" is offering Lebanese citizens as well as foreigners residing in Lebanon the possibility to follow the course of some of their applications being considered by the Lebanese General Directorate of General Security (GDGS). Furthermore, it notifies applicants about the accomplishment of their applications and about the collection dates. This includes, for this first release, Lebanese passports, residency permits, visas and Palestinian travel documents.
We note that the users of this application have to create a personal account in order to have access to the "track your application" service. The account can be created through the Section "track your application --> create an account".
Nevertheless, should the user choose not to create an account, he can still benefit from several features relaying valuable information:
1- Notifications deemed important for the Lebanese society: news, new regulations and guidelines, new releases and career announcements, are sent as soon as they are released by the GDGS.
2- All types of applications that can be submitted to the GDGS are listed . Also, the supporting documents required for each type of applications are detailed. This App offers the user the possibility to make a checklist document for his future General Security applications in order to make sure he has not missed any supporting document.
3- The locations of all General Security posts in Lebanon with a contact phone number are available through the Section ``General Security addresses" which provides the user with the possibility to use a "take me there" functionality.
4- The user who does not know where to apply can make use of a feature named "where to apply" located in the services Section. This feature specifies the application center taking into account the user's residency address and the application's type.
5- The feedback of our citizens and our guests is of high importance. A section is dedicated for you to share your complaints, suggestions and security concerns via the application whether by using dedicated phone numbers or by filling a form and send it.
6- An info Section labeled "About General Security" is also available.
7- The application can be used both in Arabic and English using the settings button.
