For the best and most accurate monitoring results, Wi-Fi, carrier and location services should always be enabled for Geofency. iBeacon monitoring requires at least Bluetooth 4.
BATTERY USE
Continued use of GPS in the background can significantly reduce battery life. Geofency was designed to use GPS very sparingly and never in the background. The app relies mostly on cell tower + Wi-Fi locations. This has been carefully chosen to get the best battery life.

I use this every workday, have done so for several years. There's no subscription cost at all - which I appreciate a lot from a general point of view - but it just doesn't feel right to get to use this perfect little tool for so long, paying just ~4$ one single time! So I do "donate for coffee". I mean, it even syncs between Mac and iOS for free. This is such a gift to a consultant like me, since I am hopeless with remembering to register my time "the normal way".
Before Geofency, I often forgot to record time, hence missing out on getting paid fully. I'm an IT consultant, so breaking even at 4 bucks... well that happened real fast using this tool! 🙂 Simple math exercise: A couple of hours a week, maybe, and 45 weeks a year, for several years. Multiply with a senior IT expert consultant's hourly charging - well you do the math. I dare not... But it's not below 4 bucks, I can promise you that! 😉

Lacks location edit features. Would be good if locations could be defined with both gps and wifi proximity.
Some suggestions
It works really well and i use it for prescense detection in Home Assistant. But here are some suggestions.
1. Be able to merge a beacon and radius location so it is one location. Whichever detects a enter/exit first sets the state. For exits both beacon and radius needs to have exited.
A true timesaver
Being a consultant working for several clients in different locations, no other app has saved me more time, that I can now spend doing other things than filling out time sheets!
In theory ...
In Theory is a great app BUT it does not work as it is meant to. The check in is working good at my office is accurate but the checkout is not at all correct. According to the map it has the right position but the timer does not stop. So sad!
And what is really bad is that have got no response and no answer at all for more then four weeks .... I sooo disappointed ....

This is a fantastic app that unlocks features in your phone you didn't even know were possible. I use it to check when I'm at work. No need for manual timestamps in Excel anymore, it just works automatically. 👌🏼
