The get me there app lets you buy selected travelcards for use on Greater Manchester’s Metrolink tram system. It means that you can buy Metrolink travelcards anytime, anywhere, without having to queue to get one from a ticket machine.
You can buy 1-day, weekend or 7-day Metrolink travelcards and download them straight to your smart phone. All you need to do is display the travelcard on your phone if asked to do so by a member of Metrolink staff.
The get me there app lets you store your payment details securely, so there’s no need to enter them every time you buy a travelcard. And if you make the same journey regularly, the app will store your previous travelcards so you can easily find the one you want to buy again.
Use the get me there app to:
• Buy Metrolink travelcards using credit/debit cards or Apple Pay
• Track active, purchased and expired travelcards
• Manage your account and set payment preferences
• Get in contact with get me there Customer Services

Please note that to travel on Metrolink you need to have a valid ticket or travelcard, or you could be liable for a standard fare of up to £100. If you are using the get me there app, make sure your phone has enough battery to display your travelcard for the duration of your journey.

Get me there FAQ
Is Get me there free?
Yes, Get me there is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Get me there legit?
⚠️ The Get me there app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
Needlessly customer-hostile decision to remove the options for 1-day travel cards and singles. Haven’t used the app since.
Used to just buy the ticket on the app in advance when I was at home, so I’d be prepared and simply walk onto a tram with minimum fuss. The problem is that at certain stops, it gets so busy and crowded that it becomes a hassle using the contactless tap in points especially when you’re in a rush. There often aren’t enough of them at stops either.
Limited use these days
I used to love using this app when I commuted every day so I’m really disappointed and surprised that it’s been changed and now only offers weekend, 7-day or 28-day tickets. It’s so limited! And I now have to wait to get to a machine and faff around wasting time. (I’ve been stung using my bank card forgetting to tap out so avoid that now)
Please just add back in the option to buy singles and 1-day travelcards - it makes no sense they were removed and really limits accessibility!
Used to use this app
I’m taking my car for a service and expecting the app to be the same from when I used to use the tram regularly. I’m looking to get a day saver today for quite a long journey but no options for day savers or 1 ways are available… deleting my account off the app. Waste of time.
Five star
Morning!
Give people the option to buy any type of ticket again 🙏🏽
Cheers,
D
App just freezes
Awful app. Try to view tram map and just freezes.
Waste of time unfortunately
You can’t buy 1 day cards
You can buy 7 day, 28 day and weekend travel cards!
You CANNOT buy a 1 day card or a single!!!!!
No more day fares..
Can only use this app to spend £28 on a week pass or over £100 for a month one. Absolutely useless now. Shameful
Offline
When I’m offline the app just crashes. This is ridiculous considering it’s a whole app with a timer on it. Make it offline compatible
Pointless App
Removing the option to purchase single journey or daily fares has pretty much made the app pointless. Instead of finding a solution to tackling supposed fraud they’ve devalued the app.
Needs improvement
I’m so annoyed with this app. It won’t let me sign in even though I’ve already created an account on the Get Me There website. It keeps saying the information is invalid when it isn’t. Something needs to be done.
