Too many heavy updates, too little space for text in posts

Gettr undoubtedly has interesting content and frequent activity by organisations or individuals of similar ideas. It offers the chance of showing to the World certain realities that a considerable number of public media tend to hide. In this sense being active part of Gettr is important, though not necessarily better than for example Gab, Truth Social or Parler. There are however two points that deserve attention. One issue is the excessive frequency of updates to the application executable. Just minor changes that always swallow HUNDREDS of Megabytes for transmission of data. That is a problem for those who have a limited Internet, with an adjudicated amount of band width which, if exceeded, means losing connection until the next payment period. It is possible simply NOT to update, but then the executable will keep annoying with the presence of available updates. The other difficulty is the very small amount of text that can be written in each public post, less than eight hundred characters. It is possible to split a longer text into several posts, but in that case the continuity of the message is broken and the separate chunks may appear in reverse order, resulting in very strange presentation. Gettr can be efficiently operated from most World Wide Web user agents, without any need of a separate executable, so the best solution is NOT TO INSTALL the application executable, but to use whatever suitable Web software for accessing Gettr. That solution will not solve the problem of short posts, but it will solve the problem of heavy updates every few days.

App issues

Can’t get past the verification code stage because the app won’t accept any of the 6 codes sent. Clicked on app support but that just brings me back to the app that I can’t access, very frustrating.
