it’s a pretty light ad blocker and misses blocking many ads. Find out for yourself by Googling ‘ad blocker check’ and you can see how Ghostery stacks up against the competition. FYI, it doesn’t do very good but better than nothing I suppose.

I use Ghostery on my desktop for Firefox and love it there. Now, I’ve been using it for iOS’s Safari for a while and love it here. Genuinely the best ad blocker you will find.

I’ve been using Ghostery for maybe like 2 months and I’ve noticed something weird. The past month every time I close the safari window and re-open it, the menu for Ghostery just well, stops. Like it stops working and I can’t turn on and off Ghostery. Also, you sometimes get ads when you use it. I suggest it for a good ad blocker but be warned it doesn’t work the best unlike paid ad blockers. Still, great ad blocker!

Great for desktop, terrible for mobile. Averages out to 1 Star because of how it blocks nothing even when properly integrated with Safari on mobile.

I’m very careful about my interactions with the Web for security purposes. Ghostery has been an important part. I love the ad blocking. If a site insists I turn it off, I just go to a different site. I never turn it off.

I love this app. It took me about two minutes to download it and run through the settings and since then, I see ads only on sites on which I allow them, page rendering is faster, and cross site tracking is no longer a worry.

I did nothing on my phone and suddenly I started getting an abundance of adds. Really frustrating and wanting me to look for an alternative.
