GitUp for Action

I’m not sure why so many sour grapes reviews, but I have been using this app with my GitUp F1 for several months now and the app has performed exactly as I’d hoped. The wifi connection, range pretty typical for 5.8 ghz, the streaming video to my iphone8 (iOS15)and video/image control works fine, if you make sure you are on the current camera firmware, and follow the GitUp app connection steps properly. My only issue is getting a direct USB connection between the camera and my macbook to work (macOS 10.15 Catalina) to speed up my work flow for files transfer, but using a SD card reader works fine for that. I have no problem recommending this good app for a great camera.

Worked fine. Ot sure about the range yet. But i do like that i can change all the settings on the camera through the app. Much easier than using the device.

When I made the update to firmware version 1.13 on model Git2P. Now the The app does not want to connect with the action camera. This is very disappointing which I was hoping that this would’ve worked since the app is very convenient for me to use to transfer videos and photos. Please! This fix this app and get a firmware for Git2P. Thanks!

Crashes a lot, laggy, buggy, loses connection to camera. You get what you pay for I suppose.

When it works I give it five stars when it doesn’t work it gets zero or one stars. Seems the complaints from 1 to 2 years ago about it freezing up and having to pull the battery to reset the camera hasn’t changed. There are settings you have to use this app to access so it’s not like you can just scrap it and use the camera. I really like the camera it would be nice if the app could get updated.

Update 10/17. The latest iOS update appears to have broken the app. I can connect to its wifi, but the camera won’t connect. I have used this app on 4 separate devices, and I have had no problems expect when using PWM control in tandem with WiFi control. Be sure you aren’t using both access methods at the same time. When I have a WiFi connection established, I get camera connection through the app in under 3 seconds, without fail. All settings adjustments work well. I’m not sure what issues detractors have with this, I haven’t seen any problems with it. Downloads work well, live view, recording, everything....

This app is terrible every time my phone connect to the camera and I attempt to read any of the information off the camera or make any adjustments to the settings with my phone camera freezes and won’t respond I’m on able to disconnect the Wi-Fi on the camera and I’m forced to remove the battery to reset the camera I’m on an iPhone X with the newest operating system I would give this app zero stars if possible.

Trying to view the video or image on the git2 in the app freezes the git2. Holding power will not recover, have to pull the battery. It use to work well.

Not possible even to get the photos from the camera using the wifi option (which use to work decent) now the app is totally useless.

When I try to transfer images into iphone, they are in the app but can’t see them in phone gallery or open them in another app to edit them.
