Somewhat okay cards

Lily_Skye on

I was really hoping to use these cards but other than celiac disease I also have an egg allergy and issues with nightshades (which includes white potatoes). I really appreciate the efforts for translating wheat and gluten issues into other languages for safe traveling. However, I hope these cards can be amended. Hopefully the portion that says ‘foods I can eat’ can be updated to only ‘what grains I can eat’. These cards would also be an issue for those that are lactose intolerant or vegan.

Not detailed enough at all

Mi$helle on

These have the ability to be amazing BUT they aren’t enough to keep us safe. And the language barrier issue means we can’t add more information to build on it. I prefer the equal eats app. More detailed. Also free and not limited to just celiac so it may be good to have for a diverse eating population.

No soy sauce

Celiacgirl11-06 on

I like the idea of this app, especially with travel, but if I were to show this to someone Asian, they wouldn’t realize that I can’t have soy sauce. I’d give it 5 stars if it mentioned soy sauce.

No soy sauce

dylsexia on

Great idea, but it doesn't mention soy sauce, so that limits its usefulness for Asian travel and restaurants.

Great info, poor resolution

Emtman652 on

My wife has celiac disease and we have found this app to be great when we are traveling or at a place where the staff speaks limited English. HOWEVER, some of the translated images have such poor resolution, that no one can read then, including Japanese and Urdu. Can you please update this?

A blurred vision of greatness.

This is a much needed app for international travelers who need to avoid gluten. Sadly, it is hardly usable because the scanned translations are so blurry that the tiny text cannot be easily read. The fix: re scan the cards at higher resolution or, better yet, make use of iOS native support of most international writing systems.

Amazing app !!!

Starronce on

This app has kept me from getting sick in so many different countries I love it and highly recommend it to any one with C.D. That travels!

What about printing?

I thought you could print this.I mean I don't want to have to take my iPod everywere.

Pretty good

Kestrel1800 on

I wish we had had this for our trip to Japan, although looking at the Japanese card, I would have been surprised if someone could have read it. This could be a very helpful app if the resolution was better - for an iPhone 4, it's not great - I can't imagine it in an even lower resolution.

great app!
