Description

** Apple Watch Users: If you're having trouble playing, force touch the Apple Watch and tap New Game (requires Watch OS 2.0). **
Glyphica is a dynamic storytelling adventure engine, written by Jeremy Vineyard, author of the Stormwinter book series.
Every time you play, your experience will be different than the time before it. Maps, characters, and stories are generated dynamically.
One day you might be a mercenary, the next a shipwrecked sailor. Or maybe you'll end up on the run, hiding from zombies.
Glyphica opens up a world of possibilities. Interactive storytelling for iOS/Apple Watch has never been this much fun. Explore your environment. Find and collect treasures. Battle rare and exotic creatures.
Make your way to the goal (if you can) and complete the adventure!
***** NOTES *****

Glyphica Reviews

Freaking amazing

This is a nice little text-based gem. A wonderful app that should be recommended more.

Kinda boring

The only reason I downloaded it was the Apple Watch support. The game is pretty boring!

An interesting little confection

This little bit of unassuming software is reminiscent of Willy Crowther's "Adventure" from 1973. Simple, and text based, it offers a multi minute diversion which is perfect when you're waiting for your car in the shop, your wife to join you in the parking lot, or the kids to get in the car after school. It comes with a small adventure and others may be purchased at your convenience. They are not overly priced. Sometimes a change of pace is necessary. I am enjoying this little sweet. It does play on your phone for your Apple Watch, which makes it even handier. Of course, all previous comments are personal opinion. You might consider obtaining the game, playing a while, then writing your own review.

Not sure.

So in response to the other review, the game is not rigged, I just believe the randomization hasn't been fleshed out. Literally the only choice that doesn't end in me dying is always picking Paper. I always win with paper, and always lose if I pick the other two.

Rigged

Jj_9 on

This game is rigged, I lost 10 times in a row in rock paper scissors, which is approximately 1 in 60,000 chance that you would lose ten times in a row! 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Great game, but a few suggestions.

I love this game and can't wait for more content, but I feel like it's missing some key components. I believe that there should be a way to make fighting a little less luck based. I would also like a feature to make your own story for this game style. But other than that, great game. Keep up the good work!
