Inefficient Ap

Minky Monkey Moo on

Very difficult Ap to use. After you have downloaded the Ap it then tells you it is compulsory to have a key tag to use it. Even worse when you make a payment it hangs and tells you the payment failed. It prompts you to do it again and I ended up paying twice. Now I’m supposed to find a key somewhere. Grrr.

Great idea!

Great Kiwi innovation. App works well for adding funds to fob, and transaction history is very helpful. Haven’t tried booking system, we use it mainly for laundry and showers when freedom camping. The tiny transaction fee is added to each deposit, but overall it’s still cheaper than many other laundries and showers. Seen lots using it for charging e-bikes, powering campers, etc.

Glitchy

Date selection was glitchy. Booking dates kept returning next day when same day was selected. Business/App name sounds scammy. Was wary of inputting personal identifying info into the app. Would be good if the app worked on its own for using campgrounds without also needing a key tag. But also pretty bad cell reception at most campgrounds so maybe cash in an envelope is a more inclusive and less faff solution…

Scam and Doesn’t Work Properly

Updated; check your credit card because the app ‘occasionally’ (owners words) charges you twice. It’s only 5 bucks, but every other app on the planet manages to charge you once for one transaction. Absolutely useless app and system- date drop down menus don’t work properly, then says you don’t have enough credit and prompts you to top up AFTER the booking has been confirmed. App is slow and has multiple other bugs that I can’t be bothered to list because they’re so stupid and absolutely simple to get right. The top up fees are a scam, as is the default to top up screen when you start the app, and the prompt that says you have no credit and have to top up after the booking confirmation. Also the app doesn’t work when reception is poor (obviously) so useless at Amberley beach. App is also dreadful for anyone who has less than perfect eyesight or reading skills (accessibility is terrible).

Ok app, company is basically a scam

The app works ok, the whole idea of Kiwi Cash is nothing short of a scam. They charge a fee on every account of credit you have. It is also hardly available anywhere, hopefully this stays that way. Great work reinventing the wheel to extract profit, a truly pointless venture.
