Goal Zero Power FAQ

Is Goal Zero Power legit?
🤔 The Goal Zero Power app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
Once connected works okay, but connecting is a problem. Can only direct connect but that connection cannot access the internet due to its takeover of the Wi-Fi connection. When trying to connect anywhere I can get past where I input my WiFi information.
Yeti 1509x
Quality piece of equipment but if you buy this and don’t buy the matching solar panels, instead, using your own, you’re going to have a drama. You need to special adapters that they do not provide nor sell on their website. It really delayed the install of my conversion and I was unable to use my own solar panels for weeks until the special part arrived. They are not very helpful when you ask exactly what is needed and they certainly don’t disclose this even though I asked them about installing in my truck camper with my own panels. Have they provided the information at least, better yet the part, I would’ve given five stars.
Rarely connects and can’t update firmware.
The two main uses for this app are to check your battery level without needing to look at the screen and to update your firmware. I’ve yet to successfully process a firmware update with the app despite trying all kinds of things support suggested. And connecting over WiFi rarely works. Most of the time I have to remove my Yeti from the app and repair it to be able to connect to it.
Zero is a perfectly good name for this!!
The goal zero app is much like its hardware, simplistic and kind of almost does the job. The biggest problem right now facing Goal Zero is they are in an existential crisis of trying to figure out how to make their old equipment work with new ideas. and in the process have broken usability of all their legacy battery systems. A stunning example of this is that they don’t know how to update older model yetis with their own hardware. Currently the software is set to automatically retry an update after a failure. The problem with that is they have no new update that fixes current problems or update failures. Therefore, your unit is stuck in a perpetual loop install cycle that cuts off all ports and items you are powering from the yeti every +hour. Clearly, a simple fix to this would be to push out an app software update that allows you to toggle off the automatic update attempt. Either Goal Zero software developers don’t not know how or do not care to do this alienating all of their legacy users and breaking their own products. This isn’t a recent problem it’s been going on for well over 10 months. Their customer support representatives are clearly aware of the Yeti link and legacy older model yeti’s update issue and the fact that their software developers haven’t pushed out a fix in over 10 months is what you were getting when you invest in yeti and Goal ZERO.
1/10 works
Basically never works when you need it goal zero products are the biggest waste of money. Worked 1 time then no more
Yeti Link and tank integration
GZ really needs to integrate the Link module better into the Yeti display. The total charge left not taking into account how many or much energy is left in the tank system is a real problem
Also, not having a Lithium tank option is a disappointment as well.
The restriction on how much solar a Yeti can take in needs quite a boost, it simply doesn’t come close to several other competitors out there.
There is a ton of competition out there now where there was very little just 5 years ago and certainly 10 years ago.
Goal Zero has always been a high quality brand who cares about the planet. But it’s time step up the game.

Muy buena
So many uses for my 3000X
Not only do I hook it up to my transfer switch (using only pre marked breakers) when the power goes out, now I put it under the bed in our motor home and hook it up to the RV transfer switch and can run everything but the A/C unit! And I turn it on and off with my phone! This makes boondocking so much easier. Just a quality built unit that makes life easier in difficult times.
Excellent products.
Quality quality quality. I have 20 GZ items and think highly of them all. 3000x, 1500, lanterns, panels, flashlights, 100s, home integration kits
You can’t go wrong with Goal Zero!
