This app is functional. Very few bells and whistles, but I’m able to find the information I need.
I have a few wishes I’d like to pass along:
- The concept of the daily sheet is… odd. I get multiple copies of the sheet per day, which stack up on the feed. If the teachers are triggering the new sheet, I’d expect that the software deduplicates somehow, and the parents aren’t notified multiple times per day.
- I wish there was a way to swipe down to refresh the daily sheet instead of backing out and re-entering the sheet every time I wanted to see an update. This should be easy to fix.
- Like others, I wish there was a way to get notifications about specific events. I would like to opt in to notifications about sleeps and feeds, but not for diapers, as an example.
Terrible
There really isn’t a nice way to say this app is trash. But it is. No real time updates, no notifications of messages throughout the day, no way to communicate with directors and teachers at the same time. Or copy and paste the message’s between staff for continuity of communication. The design has missed the mark completely.
Real time feed???
Where? This app does not permit live updates. Pick up/ drop off. Check in/ check out. Not happy with this application at all.
Great app!
They must have updated things because I’m seeing all the daily updates now in real-time. It’s great to see everything they do here at Goddard, Third Lake!
Want to know more
I want to know who feeds and changes my child throughout the day. Please fix this
No live updates
The app does not provide live updates. I used to use Procare at the previous daycare, which provided live updates such as diaper changes, snacks/meals, nap time, etc. The rating for Procare is 4.9 in the app market.
Submitting note doesn’t work
When submitting a note, app goes all black. Nothing is happening, not able to go back to the note screen. Note is not being sent. Please fix it
TadpolesWasBetter
Goddard really dropped the ball on this app. Tadpoles was had everything in one place and it was easy to find info, especially when my first child was in the baby room. I could see exactly when he went down for a nap and now I won’t be able to see that for my second child. I also cannot stand the how every time the teacher updates the feed, I get different files to click and open. Rather than having one day folder for each day it sends multiple “folders” and becomes cluttered and confusing. Additionally, it does not state the drop off and pick up times. If I have someone else dropping off or picking up my child, I always enjoyed the notification from tadpoles. Goddard, either bring back tadpoles or update your app to be what parents want.
Another disappointed parent in the app
Joining the chorus of other reviewers who are disappointed in the lack of real-time updates. I also really wish we could add other family members/caregivers besides the parents to the app so they could get pictures and updates, or contact the school if they are doing pick up/drop off. Right now I have to send every Goddard email to our child’s grandparents if they want to see updates and keep up with what he’s doing at school; it’s become a chore.
Worthless
Without live updates during the day, there is no reason to have an app. Just use a listserv and save a ton of money.
