Godville

The only reason I downloaded this game was a) I was bored out of my mind and b) there were good reviews. I’ll write my own now. Godville is a majorly hands-off god simulator where you passively watch your hero journey around this fairytale world. You have the occasional responsibility to heal or punish your hero and this is done so you can usher him/her in the right (or your) direction. I know, it sounds alright now but why would you waste your time on it when you could be playing Clash Royale? The selling point for me comes with its quips and witty descriptions that never seem to fail to make me chuckle, or even outright laugh for a second. I’ve been with my hero for 7 days now and I am yet to miss one. It’s nice to sit back and just watch the journey of your hero unravel and I hope, and sort of expect, you guys to feel the same. 9.5/10 because it’s just great. No other words for it.

As a very old and wise man, and through my vast experience I’ve come to the worldly conclusion this game is ‘decent’.

Of course I could be wrong but I’ve looked everywhere to try and change the name I made three years ago for both my hero and my god. I made a silly name and really regret it and I redownloaded it today for nostalgia purposes and I can’t change it which is really sad because it makes me cringe just looking at it

It is easy to be fooled by the game’s simple graphics, but that makes Godville unique. As you progress your contribution to the game grows with you, you’re no longer limited to pushing your hero’s buttons. I highly advocate the game for those who enjoy creativity, humour and making an impact on the lives in the world of Godville.

If I leave the app for an hour or 2 I feel like I’ve missed out on lots of fun, so it would be great to have a longer history of diary. I would also like to see what my hero has killed and maybe how, but love the game

All you do is wait for hero to do stuff. Nothing to do aside from that.

Be very careful. My app is now stuck in an endless loop of achievement notifications. I suggest waiting until this is fixed before updating Edit: this got fixed pretty quickly. And the developers took the trouble to contact me. Impressed.

I thought the game was fun and creative, but it would be nice if you could get more involved with the story of your hero. It would also be cool to have multiple heroes. :)

I would say it is a fairly decent game but who wants to wait that long? The people in the high scores seem like bots

This app is completely pointless, but I love it.
