I have some albums on CD or hi resolution downloads that are unavailable on iTunes or Spotify. This app is so easy to allow transfer of flac files to my iPhone

Golden Ear is a lossless music player. It supports all common lossless audio formats, including FLAC, APE, WAV, WavPack,AIFF, ALAC. It also recognizes accompanying CUE files, and lists individual tracks so you can pick up your favorite one very easily. You just need to make sure CUE file shares same file name with the music file. Similarly, to display the cover art, you just provide the image file with same name. Golden Ear recognizes embedded cover art and CUESHEET comment tag inside flac files.
Music files can be grouped either by artists or by albums. You can also show all files in one single playlist, or only files in a chosen folder.
Golden Ear provides a straight forward control interface. You can use three playback modes: 1) Continuing in order; 2) Shuffle; 3) Loop one track/song.
Just put your collection onto your device via iTunes file sharing, then you can start listening to high quality audio everywhere you go.

Amazing if you have the space for hi-res audio on your device, gives you effortless quality playback
Golden Ear
Very poor app. I feel compelled to say I regret purchasing this app. Will play 192khz files on my iPad but only in 44khz format, so what is the point? Sound quality is no different to normal iTunes cd quality tracks.
So easy to use
Having bought hi-definition (24-96) albums in ALAC format that sound great from my Mac to a Hi-Fi DAC but I listen to music mostly on my iPhone, until now I had to convert to a lower quality so that I could play them on the built in Music app which is tiresome and pointless. Now with Golden Ear I don't have that problem, it is so easy to use and sounds fantastic.
Does not work!
Bought this today. I tried it on my iPad 3 and iPhone 5 with 24/96 Flac and ALAC. It does to work at all. How cani get my money back?
well designed and useful app
app is well designed and is easy to use. The developer is very helpful with support problems, replies promptly and is very responsive to feedback. His support for those who are blind and use the app has been outstanding, and he has made several changes to make using the app easier with VoiceOver.

Better than what I'm expecting, nice app but still a lot more need to be polished.
Not bad at all
This works really well and I haven't had any issues with it. Obviously it's functionality is a bit limited compared to most mp3 type players but it's still good. I'd like to see: support for multi disc albums - more flexible reading of embedded album art - import by folder rather than just file. Still good as it is, though.

Why this sort of app isn't already installed on iPhones as standard is beyond me. Works perfectly so far no problems. Great app
