Golden Ratio: Harmonic Face

Beauty Selfie Filter And Scan

Published by: Lucas Yamashita

Description

Some twentieth-century artists and architects, including Le Corbusier and Dalí, have proportioned their works to approximate the golden ratio—especially in the form of the golden rectangle, in which the ratio of the longer side to the shorter is the golden ratio—believing this proportion to be aesthetically pleasing. The golden ratio appears in some patterns in nature, including the spiral arrangement of leaves and other plant parts.
The evidence shows that our perception of physical beauty is hard wired into our being and based on how closely the features of one’s face reflect phi in their proportions. The Golden Ratio appears extensively in the human face, as demonstrated in a 2009 university study on attractiveness.
This app explains the ratio itself, tell you about the story, show some remarkable examples and creates a Golden Ratio Mask over your front-facing camera, with different overlay options to customize it according to you (male, female, smiling, lateral and lateral smiling mask) to show how close you are to these harmonic proportions.

Golden Ratio Reviews

I wish I could give it a negative rating.

The APP does nothing. At all. I want a refund. Not because I need the $2, but because whoever owns this app should be ashamed of themselves. Pathetic. Literally the worst app. It does nothing. Provides no info. And is a complete scam. Refund asap or I wiill dispute the charge. As should everyone who was duped.

Not free

One of those dumb apps pretending to be free and then forcing you to pay when you try to open it. False advertising. If you’re gonna force charge, don’t say it’s a free app

Terrible App

Bjhayer on

You have to pay $1.99 a month to use it. Hasn’t been updated in over a year. At this point I would suspect a scam.

Rip-off

It says this is free with in-app purchases but before you can even try it once, you have to purchase it just to take your picture.

Can’t use existing photos and mask shifts on its own

Stephanie Leigh on

United States

Rather than letting you take a photo and then overlay the mask and resize it to fit, you have to try to position your face inside the mask WHILE your taking the photo. Even if you positionyour face perfectly inside the mask, it doesn’t matter because the mask automatically shifts out of position after you’ve taken the picture. You can not use photos from your library. You also can’t save the picture for reference.

Worthless app - don’t buy!

Nandasreview on

This app doesn’t work! Full of bugs. Can’t be used on existing photos only selfies. When you save a photo you get kicked out of the app. When you take an image the “smiling” mask immediately shifts up an inch and everything is misaligned. It’s impossible to use side view because you can’t see what you’re doing. A waste of money.

Trash

This app is the most useless and pointless thing I’ve ever downloaded and paid $1.99. I’d like refund.

Can’t even use the app

It's hard 2 do on

An add pops up, and so you can’t even access the mask feature of the app.

No import!

StealthDiabeetis on

United States

You can only do live pictures which makes centering very precarious and limits you to the wide angle front camera. Also whenever I take the live picture it drops the mask like half an inch so it’s almost impossible to use. Waste of money until these issues fixed. Another developer pumping out crumby apps for a quick buck. Shame shame.
