GonioTrans es una herramienta simple, gratis y útil para referenciar sobre una imagen del ojo la posición angular de las estructuras oculares. Capturando una imagen fotográfica del ojo se copia y se pega en el programa el cual superpone una plantilla que simula un transportador con dos hemimeridianos superpuestos con las marcas de 0º a 180 º en pasos de 5º o de 10º.
Referencias como nevus o criptas de iris, venas del acuoso, etc. pueden determinar con mucha exactitud los meridianos adecuados para incisiones, marcado de lentes tóricas, etc. Permite asimismo cotejar posiciones de lentes, estabilidad de las mismas, ejes incisionales, etc.
